THATS THE WARNING outside the hotel, its a mission to find it at first, located at suk and soi2, Used in the late 50s and early 60s by photographers and writers to cover the vietnam war... I LOVE THE PLACE, Have stayed there many times, but dont get a room above 2nd floor as there is no lift..! And it... More

I stayed at the Atlanta this January and loved it. Whilst the militant stance may seem somewhat OTT, you only have to step outside into Sukumvit to understand why they take care to hold the line -- and thank God they do. Personally I loved the attitude, but then I like places with character rather than the anodyne corporate boxes... More

Good location, just off Sukhumvit and so handy for the Skytrain. Everything you need in a hotel - stuff it doesn't have you can do without. Food very good. Seems the only alcohol they have is Singha beer.... No significant areas of complaint at all.

If you're looking for a quirky hotel caught in time (feels a bit like the Shining) with a decent, well-priced restaurant - this is for you. If you are looking for luxury services, or anything more than a bare-bones room (although spacious!), maybe you want to look elsewhere. Don't be put off by the weirdo racist warnings about sex workers... More

A pleasant stay with helpful staff - they took the time to help us out with places to see and things to do. Central and good value for money, and feels safe minor downer that the pool is in shade most of the day but for some that's a good thing - and it's HUGE!

Classic and quirky, The Atlanta is truely unique. It admits, and is, a budget hotel. The rooms lack the polish and amenities that you would expect in the JW Marriot just up the street, But, no matter. There is a definite hominess about the whole experience. The staff are friendly and the property feels safe, quiet, and a relaxing space... More

yes it is a little run down and dowdy, and the pool needs the tiles mending, but it's central, it's cheap and if you tip well you are so welcome. The food is top hole as well, but staff can be intimidating, but in a very thai way. if I ever go back i'll probably stay there again.

I have been staying at The Atlanta Hotel nearly every year for about 25 years. I am an enthusiastic fan of this eccentric, privately owned establishment and there are many regulars from around the world who will I know, agree with me. I do find various negative comments from other reviewers tedious in the extreme. The long standing and loyal... More

Haven't seen the hotel looking so nice in years. New bedding and towels, everything painted fresh, nice new bathrooms - its a real pleasure to stay there. Yes, sometimes the restaurant isn't as good as it used to be - but its good quality. The wifi is famously unreliable, and regularly breaks down altogether. Many thanks to the management for... More

Still a landmark for its remarkable Deco-like design and decoration. Once one of the grand hotels of Bangkok (first hotel in the city to have a pool in the fifties!). And of course it's overt sleaze free policy of refusing to serve or accommodate any one they feel would bring down the reputation of the place is still in place.... More
