We stayed here as a special treat! The hotel looks fantastic on the inside and despite the rules posted everywhere you can't help but smile at the attitude. We took them seriously but with a pinch of salt. The restaurant had big Western sized portion and delicious vegetarian options. The pool was a good size and certainly fun. The bedrooms... More

The Atlanta has it's knockers I know and perhaps some of it deserved. The pool and its environs has needed some serious maintenance for a few years now, the rooms are a bit tired and the place is overpriced. However, we have been staying here for many tears now and while we like to treat ourselves to something a bit... More

Try staying here for a most interesting alternative to the cloned Sofitel, Novotel or Hilton which serve their own purpose of delivering exactly the same model no matter which city you are staying in. However, those hotels lack character and allow the type of 'in-your-face' room visiting behaviour that can barely be avoided in central Bangkok. The Atlanta is a... More

As a recent reviewer, Michael G, aptly described, there is an arrogance to this place that is outdated and unattractive. My husband and I have been coming to this place for years, but we finally had enough and checked out early yesterday to stay at a much better place, the Lamphu Tree House hotel, at the recommendation of a nice... I loved the Atlanta. I was pretty excited to be finally staying there. It has a lot of character and caters for travellers who appreciate privacy and don't want to party all night. The restaurant, lobby and swimming pool are unadulterated 1950s with lots of books and photographs on display from famous visitors. The restaurant is vegan friendly with delicious,... More

It is worth a stay here just to be able to sit and read in the fantastic foyer, however, some of the staff really need some lessons in manners, the rooms are drab and the overall feeling, with signs telling you what and what not to do, is more 1984 than 1950s. There is an arrogance to this place, as... More

This is a very interesting place to stay, step back to the 1950's. The rooms are clean, plain and out dated but that adds to the charm of the place. They have the best pillows, but the rooms could do withTea/Coffee making area. The pool area could do with a bit of a fix up but it is totally usable... More

This hotel is great when you are on a budget. Fairly antiquated in feel and it takes you back to another era. Swimming pool is lovely and good wifi in reception. Food in restaurant is really good. Good area to stay when you want to get around Sukhimvit.

We found this a relaxing place at the start of our holiday If you fancy being transported back into the 1950s, want somewhere quiet, love swimming and don't mind the odd pool tile missing then this place is great. We had a suite as there were 3 of us but it would have slept 6. We walked and used the... More
