This is a very interesting place to stay, step back to the 1950's. The rooms are clean, plain and out dated but that adds to the charm of the place. They have the best pillows, but the rooms could do withTea/Coffee making area. The pool area could do with a bit of a fix up but it is totally usable... More

This hotel is great when you are on a budget. Fairly antiquated in feel and it takes you back to another era. Swimming pool is lovely and good wifi in reception. Food in restaurant is really good. Good area to stay when you want to get around Sukhimvit.

We found this a relaxing place at the start of our holiday If you fancy being transported back into the 1950s, want somewhere quiet, love swimming and don't mind the odd pool tile missing then this place is great. We had a suite as there were 3 of us but it would have slept 6. We walked and used the... More

Sometimes I don't know why I come back here! The accommodation side of it is a little depressing. But somehow I keep coming back! Don't expect luxury or style - rooms are clean but plain, outdated, a little backpackerish. I suppose I come back because it's cheap, and has a certain charm - the pride in its history and the... The Atlanta hotel is different. If you like the standard hotelrooms, please avoid this place. If, however, you are like me and have a special place in your heart for the extraordinary, check out this hotel. You will find quirky and humourous texts all over the place. The rooms are without any kind of extra comfort, but what is offered,... More

If you are looking for all mod cons then definitely don't stay here, but if you are looking for a place with history and character then consider the Atlanta. It's true that the basic bedrooms are a bit dated but ours (we chose a suite which included a sitting area) was clean and comfortable enough. However, when you step into... More

Ive stayed in a LOT of hotels around the world and this would be one of my favorite. NO smoking on the premises. Excellent garden with tables. Massive hammocks Quiet yet central location Fan rooms with excellent ventilation when you open up the 2 doors. Great restaurant with Anong the manager who has worked here for 41 years... Excellent vegan... More

I found out about this hotel from the Lonely planet guide, whose description: "You half expect Humphrey Bogart to trot down the stairs in this perfectly preserved mid-20th century lobby. The rooms are skeletal in comparison", is particularly apt. The entrance is immaculate old world design, complete with a writing desk and book ladder. Up stairs it's a bit of... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Atlanta in May 2014. Even though it might be seen as iconic and a walk back in time, the nostalgic experience does not compensate for the many deficiencies. The rooms are really, really basic. No decoration, no refrigerator, no drinking water supplied in the room, no tea or coffee making facilities, no television, no... More

I am writing this whilst sitting over tea and toast in the quirky restaurant of the Atlanta Hotel. Classical music is playing, the swimming pool beckons, I have just had a very comfortable night's sleep and am sorry that I must leave later today. It would be so lovely to sit in the garden with an iced drink.....ah well, this... More
