Stay in this hotel if you want to be among the Indian/Bangladeshi people around you to make you feel at home, otherwise stay elsewhere. There are two buildings in this hotel, however reception did not bother to make it clear at the time of check in, so we were running around like headless chicken! Our room was on the 18th... More

You are going to love this hotel just because of value for money. It is strategically located near Nana BTS station (2 minutes walking distance), which will connect you to all the shopping malls and other attractions. It is also in close proximity to Nana Plaza and plenty of Massage Parlors. This hotel boasts of a nice swimming pool, gym,... More

This hotel is huge, has several towers and a huge reception. The decor and furnitures looks a bit dated, and their arcade is full of tailors that are always empty whenever I pass by. The rooms are pretty huge, but their shower head needs an overhaul. Beds are soft and comfortable. It seems that this hotel has got dealings with... More

This is not a place that I would choose again myself although I must admit it has its advantages. Location is superb right on Sukhumvit Road but it's a pretty average hotel apart from that. A bit old, rooms are OK, service is OK, speaks English well, food is decent. This hotel should be chosen for the location on Sukhumvit... More

I'm a traveler and I'm visiting Bangkok at least 8 times per year, Usually my preferred area is Sukumvit at and the Ambassador hotel is located there, since I've never stayed there I've decided to give it a shot and that my friends was my first BAD decision for 2016!!! As I arrive to the hotels reception 4 front desk... More

Location is superb if you want to party in Bangkok. The main stream red light areas are near by. Rooms was good in fact was better than many. they have quite a huge list of menu in breakfast. It was 50+ dishes in breakfast. Tailors and many massage parlors on ground floor. Wifi wasn't free when we stayed there so... More

The curb appeal and the lobby are the nicest things about hotel obviously designed to draw you in. I stayed last year also. Was hoping my experience was a fluke. Booking a room doesn't actually mean you have that room. This happened to me last time and sure enough when I showed up this time they told me they only... More

Being a 90s Kid, I can't claim to know what it was like to be alive in the 1960s. However, a 2-night stay in the Ambassador hotel has afforded me a priceless glimpse into what it may have been like. Suffice to say, I didn't like what I saw. I'll proceed by looking at 3 areas, two of which, I... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
