This is one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed at. When we finally made it to the hotel in the evening, we had to stand in a line at the check in counter(which was huge but manned by only 1 staff member) for almost 1 hour because the Indonesian travellers in front of us decided to stand and... AMTEL is a very big hotel no doubt. The new tower wing is enormous. We stayed in the old main wing, which was also big. Very clean hotel. Reception is friendly and helpful. But you need to keep a deposit during check-in, for US$50 of Thai 1,000 Bath. This is returned when you check out. I was a little bit... More

The only positive about this hotel is the location, which is close to the Nana sky train station. CONS: They misrepresent the internet services on their website. They say you will either have wifi or a LAN. What they don't say is wifi is FREE, but LAN is 399 baht a day and it all depends what room you stay... More

Looks like this place was state-of-the-art about 30 years ago. But there are great deals online and the location is great. More

Outside the hotel and inside the lobby, the hotel has a high class feel and it is relatively large. But once you get inside the rooms (main wing), it is actually not as glamorous as the pictures in their website. The shower is very small and the shower head is fixed in place so you can't really wash well. You... More
