This is a bit expensive then the budget hotels but a good place to be in. Food is too good and so is the service. Location a bit far from all places in the city. THere are other budget hotels but not recommended while stay in thailand. so this i guess must be the best according to me. more

It is one of the cheapest five stars hotel in Bangkok, but is comfortable and convenient. The staff is very kind and efficient. Good restaurants and room service 24 hours. Not far from the main landmarks. I stayed several times and I will keep booking this hotel when I land to BKK. more

I stayed at the Siam city for 5 nights in early June 2009. The hotel has some great rates (especially for pre-booked and paid for rooms). The rooms are a good size and the desk chair is comfortable. Although I am not an expert, I would say this place is genuinly Thai and not some international clone. I've been there twice within 6 years and it's great to see everything is in the same great shape than before - it means the people care. Very close to major shopping, two stations on elevated railway and 30 baht fare. New airport rail link station to be finished in 2009 is about 400 metres away and will have airline check-in counters at station I frequently stay at Siam City and always enjoy being greeted by friendly and helpful staff more

My first night in this hotel was terrible, as I was on a floor with smoking rooms. However, the hotel staff was very efficient in moving me to a non-smoking floor. The staff at Siam City are marvellous. I left my hand luggage (containing essential medication and my camera with oodles of photos of a holiday at Krabi) at the airport and only realised when I arrived at the hotel.
