Great location! Everything is around the corner! Sukumvit is where all the action is and this hotell is right in the center. The rooms are average and a bit stuffy and the Wall to Wall carpeting definately a thumbs down! The staff very friendly though and quite obliging! Our stay was satisfactory!

It is a value for money choice. Very nice and spacious deluxe suit rooms at a very reasonable price. They have 3 separate towers - each for different type of rooms. The tower for suit rooms aren't bad. not sure of others. Service is slow and breakfast is below average. WiFi was good, with dedicated line for the room with... More

I stayed at the Grand President for 3 Nights in late Jan 2016. To my surprise they allocated me a room in the tower across room from the main hotel. The room was very dated and had a terrible bathroom. There was no water pressure and holes in the vanity and other cupboards. When I requested an extra bed in... More

The Grand President is a good location to stay in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located on Soi 11 where it is a convinent location near the rail, several different eating places, entertainment, and drinking spot. Also, there are lots of activities during the night. The prices are reasonable for a 3-4 star hotel.

I stayed in the Main Hotel (Tower 1). Other Towers may be more modern (don't know). Rock hard bed, out of date furnishings including bathroom fittings, kettle and microwave were filthy and looked as if they had been bought in a scrap yard. No balcony so what's the point having a pool view unless you are going to open the... More

I have been staying in this hotel for over 20 years , and around the mid 90's ythe previous owners sold out to a Indian group , sadly overs that write of time they have pushed up the rates faster than the market dictates, but over that time they appear to run it like a budget hotel in Goa, they... Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
