I have reviewed the ELH multiple times because the highlight of all my stays in Bangkok is the ELH. The courteous and friendly staff, the perfect service and the culinary temptations of the ELH always make me regret going home. As I said before, for me there is no better hotel in Bangkok. I love the marble bathrooms and the... More

We really liked the location as it was easy to go from the hotel to all the interesting places of Bangkok, and the area around the hotel is very nice with restaurants (we tried Baan Khanitha and Secret Garden) and spas (we tried Siladon Spa) and park (Lumpini park). Our room was big and clean, and it was very peaceful... More

This is an older hotel in Bangkok where we were put for a tour so I don't know what the price of rooms were. I suspect low or the tour company got an excellent deal. It is clean, comfortable, with a mediocre breakfast. Not one of my favorite locations in Bangkok, which clouds my judgement. I prefer to be closer... More

Very convenient location. Near Silom but very quiet around. The exterior of the building and the lobby definitely need some work done but the rooms are while not "modern", they are very nice, comfortable and spotless clean. The breakfast was great as well. The best room quality in Silom area for the rate. Just don't expect W hotel and you'll... More

We have been staying in the hotel for 4 days with OAT Tours and find the hotel quite comfortable. It is very reasonably priced, the staff is quite friendly and helpful. The morning buffers very good. The room has a king sized bed, both shower and large tub, TV with English feeds and very good WiFi.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel and couldn't be happier with our stay there. The check-in went smoothly and our luggage were transfered to our room for us. Our room was quite large and luxurious. It was spotlessly clean and had the most comfy bed. A big wardrobe, armchair, desk and big safe were available... More

I stayed in this hotel after 9 years. Although it has lost a lot of glory over the years, the best think about this place is the central location. If you are a business traveler, this is the best place to be as this hotel is in the middle of the business district. If you are looking for a quick... More

I loved this hotel. It was very modern, clean, and the rooms were large. Actually, had a spotless clean bathroom with bath tub. The in-room safe was extremely large. Free WiFi in the room and it worked very quickly. Laundry available but very pricy. Nice pool and fitness center. Do not use the hotel for a massage, there are better... More

I have stayed in 30 hotels in Bangkok and this is only average, but that's reflected in the price I guess. Room's were a bit old fashioned for me. Onyx bathrooms, great in the 70's, but not trendy now.

Very good service and neat/clean rooms. Fortunate to have a 12th floor good view room as early requests for high floors didnt seem to be taken into account.. breakfast has decent variety.. overall an excellent value for early bird bookings.

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
