Stayed at the Royal River hotel and had a great stay. Yes, the hotel decor is a bit tired but it was clean and had everything. The staff were professional and we had a great stay. There are few important things which one must note, before booking the hotel. First, the room has to be River Facing with Balcony, otherwise the hotel is not worth anything. Stayed at the Royal River Feb 2007 for a couple of nights on our way down to Krabi. Although a little out of the way its was well worth the taxi ride, the room was clean and spacious, staff friendly, breakfast was great, would certainly recommend and would stay again next time we visit Bangkok more

My wife and I were on tour of Thailand and only stayed 2 days at that hotel. Very nice hotel and rooms. Very clean. Very good breakfast buffet.
