Have just returned from 4 night stay at the Astera. Had a great room overlooking the pool (which is brilliant!) and the Skytrain (station is about a 5 minute walk away). Room was quiet, good aircon, good TV with a few English speaking channels. Bathroom a little rough around the edges, but cleaned and towels changed every day and plenty... more

nice hotel with friendly staff. although on a busy road it was peaceful,clean and tidy, we hired a car with driver for the day to take us to pattaya beach at a very cheap 1500 baht just speak to woody in reception. more

The hotel is within walking distance to the sky train station, what a bonus, it makes it easy and cheap to travel from and back to hotel. Bedroom is quite roomy; staff at the front desk is helpful. I booked some nice tours from Woody the tour guy at the entrance, very nice and honest person. Breakfast a bit meager. more

I absolutely loved this hotel and would totally recommend it to anyone. The staff was so friendly and they even upgraded me for no extra charge. Breakfast was fine but my only complaint was that the pool was a little too cold to swim in. I will definitely stay here again but you must book on-line before you come otherwise... more

returned to the astera after 12 months to find new owner and the rectification of the only problem that i previously experienced..the breakfast (included in the US$45 rate) has been significantly improved..the service is still the same high quality.i arrived from mukadan(9 hour overnight bus ride)and arrived at the astera by taxi at 6am..reception was open and they immediatly booked... more
