Small fairly old budget hotel, rooms have been refurbished, but the bathrooms are very dated and the shower hardly functions as such, I would not stay here again until the bathrooms have been renovated. Convenient for BTS and riverboats, many eating options nearby, Have to pay 1000baht key deposit on check in, free wifi adequate...

Location is very handy. Close to the river to take the boat and also close to the BTS skytrain. Bed is hard and room is small. They have a pool and breakfast is basic. They do make an omellet if you want.

The staff is very hospitable. The hotel is located near sky train station and the main ship station. With the shipping line can come directly to the Great Palace. In the hotel room massages can be ordered at a price of 600 THB, but in the vicinity of the hotel there are many massage parlors at normal rates (200 -... More

Astera Sathorn is a lovely, reasonably priced hotel with a very good location. Walking distance from Sathorn pier which is the main pier on Chao Phraya from where the boat to Asiatique and express boats leave and also from the BTS sky train. It is also not far from the busy Silom Road and the markets and malls. The room... More

Stayed at the Astera Sathorn for 3 nights in mid November and I would say it is excellent value for the money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, large comfortable beds, good wi fi, air con that works well and had tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good, mainly Thai food but with excellent omelettes, scrambled... The Hotel is located directly at the BTS Station Saphan Taksin, which is really central to Bangkok. You pay around 150 Baht by Tuktuk or Motorbike to Koah San Road. It offers nice and clean rooms to an absolute affordable price. I paid around 20 Euros a night. I can recommend for people who just want to sleep there. The... More

I love this hotel! Booked 2 night stay with this hotel after D&D Inn failed to provide rooms for my stay despite the fact i've paid for 3 night stay. Went to stay a night at Khaosan Park Resort before settled for this hotel. That is one of the best decision during my trip. I called to ask if i... More

Nice located hotel but very loud because of the traffic. Wifi in rooms is ok. Breakfast is not so alternative but for this capacity and price ok. No mini bar. And no ervice after midnight thats pretty sad if you want to drink a beer in the night.

All I expect from this class of hotel is cleanness, but it was not really given (see foto). But I don't know if this is a general problem of Bangkok hotels. Location is near to the bts, which is good. The room is small, breakfast average which is again probably normal for Bangkok. Staff is not really friendly, English level... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
