The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was huge and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. Huge bathroom, nice toiletries. We had healthy and affordable breakfasts at 'Glow' restaurant on the second floor. We were a little disappointed that the bar was closed on the Sunday, but it was a holiday. The main drawback we found is it's location.... more

I retuned to the Met Bangkok after 18 months and once again, I cannot praise this hotel enough. From the sleek design, attention to detail, spacious, well planned room, attentive service and amazing cuisine - this is by far one of Asia's best urban hotel experiences. Stand out points are the fabulous Glow Restaurant, which serves healthy, spa cuisine in... more

I am bored of the usual run-of-the-mill five star hotels - worldwide. I stepped out of my usual comfort zone of Four Seasons and tried the Met Bangkok on a recent business trip; I wanted some luxury, some space, and reliable, discreet service as and when I needed it. I will be staying there again - my days of boring,... more

Stayed here 2-3x for holiday weekends and enjoyed the stay. The rooms are large, and paying for an upgrade is worth it as the rooms get exponentially larger with a smaller incremental cost. The bathroom is huge and spa-like, not unlike those found in Bali or Phuket resorts. Everything in the room looks modern and sleek. The pool and gym... more

Perfect oasis in the city. Wonderful premises, beautiful pool, breakfast buffet very good. The Metropolitan Room is large (bathroom is 1/3 the size of room- huge). Will take my husband back there for vacation. Close to SkyTrain and subway. more

Upon check-in, we were informed that we were given a complimentary upgrade from a City Room to a Metropolitan Room! A guest services coordinator assisted us from check-in to everythng else from helping us get to our dinner reservations at Bed Supper Club, Sunday brunch at Kuppa, to two days of shopping and trips to the Grand Palace and the... more

The Metropolitan Bangkok is a hidden jewel in the heart of Bangkok! The trendy staff greet you at the front door with smiles and this friendly service continues all the way to your room. The staff at the Metropolitan are fantastic - so warm and helpful - willing to go out of their way. Our room was not a standard... more

We're in the tourism industry and have stayed in a lot of nice hotels. But this is our absolute favourite. It is cool, laid back, and an oasis of calm to return to after the hussle and bussle of bangkok. The staff can at first seem aloof compared to the over attention you can get at the other five stars,... more

We stayed in the Met for 3 nights at the start of our trip upon a recommendation from a friend and our high expectations were definitely matched. On our arrival we were a little concerned that we were checking in too early as it was around 9am local time, but that was no problem at all and the friendly reception... more
