This hotel has a huge reputation and I have to say that I could not really understand why. From the publicity photographs it just looks like a relatively average city centre hotel. How wrong I was. Having stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, this is the best for service by miles. Having stayed here, it is... More

We have stayed in 5 star hotels in Bangkok and around the world, but The Oriental is by far the best. If everything else in the hotel was ordinary, the amazing service dished out be every staff member would still make this hotel worthwhile. We flew in from Paris where we had stayed for 3 nights in a tiny little... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Oriental. The service is impeccable and truly cannot be faulted. From the butler to the elevator attendant (you rarely press a button) to the business center attendants (who bring a drink and small snack while you use the internet), everyone is a true professional at the top of their game. One warning -... More

The Oriental is without doubt one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms itself are not the largest but are extremely nice. Its the service that really makes this Hotel though. Nothing was ever to much to ask and the staff generally went out of there way to help you. I know that some previous reviews... More

Having only stayed in a handful of 5 star hotels this one was something special. The attention to detail and availability of staff to cater to your every need is what separates this hotel from all others. From the moment you step foot on the premises you escape the hustle and bustle of one of the worlds most hectic and... More

This hotel exceeded our expectations and our expectations are pretty high. We have stayed in a lot of 5 star properties in all corners of the world and there are few to touch this property. The attention to detail is exceptional. The service is exactly what you want from a hotel - attentive but unobtrusive. The food in both the... More

We stayed at the Oriental for the first four nights of our SE Asia trip and then the last two nights. I thought this hotel was amazing. I have never had better service, the staff were friendly and helpful without fail. The facilities were excellent. We staid in standard rooms in the garden wing the first few nights and then... More

The airport greet staff are spectacular! The welcome gorgeous as always - I like their ability to remember my name! Everywhere! Concierge wonderful and helpful. Power was out for the day of my arrival - so went to Shangri-la's Beauty Salon - a shocking rip off! Avoid at all costs!! Oriental's food, service and attention to detail can't be beat... More

Having had already a negative experience at the Oriental in the past, I thought that they deserved a second chance, as everybody else does. Oh boy, what a mistake I made. Either I am doing something wrong, or the others are having a differnt set of expectations. I had a trail of ants in my bathroom and personnel that always... More

From the BMW 7-series sedan picking you up at the airport (with uniformed driver in all-white with a cap, not unlike a military dress uniform) to the service standards, from the stunning views of the Chao Praya River from the floor-to-ceiling windows to the terrific cuisine served in the restaurants, The Oriental Bangkok is a world-class hotel in almost every...
