The Sofitel Silom bangkok is amazing. from arriving to departing we loved every minute of it. We stayed in a suite, although a bit basic it was very relaxing. We checked in at the Club lounge on the 27th Floor, with a nice welcome drink. our room wasnt ready on time so we went for a walk for an hour.... more

After traveling from the States, we were a bit tired to say the least. The check-in was an absolute breeze, and the beds were amazing. We had a double-occupancy two-bed room, which was a bit tight, but not uncomfortable. The bathroom was a fantastic size though! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and everything was kept up very nicely.... more

Stayed in May 2009 for three nights and had an exceptional stay at the hotel. All the facilities are first class, although especially liked the covered outdoor pool on the fifth floor over looking the city. Would recommend to anyone and cannot fault any aspect of the hotel during our stay. Shanghai 38 Restuarant (Thailand Restaurant of the Year 2009)... more

Checking into the hotel was so problematic that I nearly wanted to change another hotel. Luckily I didn't, rooms were wide and nicely furnished. Breakfast was very good (expected level from Sofitel). French dinner in the hotel was also fantastic. Will have rated it good had not been the not so friendly staff during check-in. more

I had a deluxe club room, upon arrival I was greeted by the lovely lobby. Check in was done at club lounge and was escorted to the room by a sweet young thing. The room was great- huge bed, but dated CRT tv. Bathroom was small though but adequate. They serve drinks in the evening at the cozy club lounge... more

We stayed one week in the Sofitel Silom and used it as our hub from where to reconnoiter the city. We found the hotel pleasantly located with good access to the sky train system (500 m away from hotel) as well as to the Chao Phraya Express Boats System (a 20 min walk or alternatively a sky train ride followed... more

This is without doubt the best hotel we have stayed at in Bangkok (and we have stayed in quite a few of equal star rating). A family of five, on our arrival we were offered the chance to upgrade to Club. This turned out to be an excellent choice, not least since the lounge facilities were great, especially the cocktails... more

Stayed here for 3 nights before flying onto Phuket. Wished we had stayed longer and the hotel was very comfy and clean and felt we could have done more sightseeing before moving on. Staff were really efficient and helpful - especially front desk and bellboys. Rooms were really clean and nicely furnished although it was dark at night as reported... more

Stayed here for a brief holiday to Bangkok. Was recommended this hotel by friends who stayed previously as it was a good choice for us. Locationwise, not the most convenient to the Sky Train but not bad either...felt like a mile to the station along a very crazy road of street stalls. As far as the hotel, very classically elegant.... more
