Call me fussy but when you spend 100+ nights per year away, customer service is key for me. These guys have a long way to go on customer service. Hopefully their cheque for the purchase of SPG, teaches them something about customer service. I waited 35 minutes for a meal (which was then incorrect), with an empty restaurant - the... More

I stayed here for business for three nights and really can't say enough good things about it. The check-in process was quick and efficient and the rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. It's in a great location in Bangkok: short walk to Nana and to the sky train, which gives you access to tons of great restaurants as well as... More

Stayed for 2 weeks at this property over Christmas and New Year. Check-in was quick and efficient. Booked the Executive Room that comes with the Club Lounge facility. Room is extremely clean, room amenities is of the first class quality and bed is comfortable. Spent most of my time at the Club Lounge. The Club Lounge is spacious and the... More

No doubt this hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed across Asia - from the service it provides (swimming pool, steam, room services), courtesy (greetings and room services) and location (close to Phloen Chit and Nana stations, 5 min walk to either station). Good view from the hotel room too (as per my attached photo). Great choice for... More

Bangkok had many great hotels. Some are resort hotels in the river, others are in the city. The jeviscrighy downtown on soi 2. The service is outstanding and the executive lounge is second to none., happy hour on food and drinks starts around 5 and runs to 8. If you are still hungry the tsunami restaurant may be unfortunatly named... More

The location may not be for everyone but the hotel itself lives up to the Marriott heritage. Sukhumvit Road is within walking distance of the Nana SkyTrain stop and close to the Bumrungrad Hospital but also near some very seedy bars. I first stayed at this Marriott over 10 years ago the upgrade that followed a few years later is... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
