By way of background, my frequent flyer accounts indicate that I have logged over seven million miles of air travel in my international oil and gas career but who is counting. Nonetheless, the countless hotels where we have stayed qualities my wife and I as travel experts though we do not do that for a living. My core oil business... More

From the entrance, you can already tell that the hotel is serene and peaceful. Our room was large and the check in-out process was really easy. Staff was really accommodating to our requests and extremely pleasant. Room service took a while and portions were extremely small. (Compared to the US portions.) Staff also gave us recommendation on food places around... More

We were visiting friends in Bangkok and took the hotel's private boat to get to dinner. When we arrived they had messed up the reservation for a specific room and attempted to seat us outside (in the heat) next to the only other patrons in the entire place. We ended up getting the table we wanted, and proceeded to have... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights on our recent trip to Thailand (it was a first time for both of us in this neck of the woods). We knew little about the city but wanted to stay at a property that wasn't just another large skyscraper with hundreds of rooms - The Siam delivered in every way.... More

It is simply the best Hotel I have ever been to, in my life. We were looking for a Romantic escape, out of the busy Bangkok which sometimes is overwhelming. In the Siam we found that the Colonial Decor and the location in front of the River, really transport you to another time and give you peace of mind. We... More

From arrival to departure this hotel was a disappointment. No porter on arrival and a ten minute wait at check-in because the relevant staff member was absent. Dark rooms and charges for films including porn - nice for families. Pool area very under resourced in terms of staff and not comfortable. Thai restaurant very run of the mill. Returned to... More

I never write review about anything, but this is a truly unique hotel. This hotel is unlike any other hotel in Bangkok, it's on a different level. Definitely recommend those who want to relax and enjoy the weather and riverside. If you worry about the traffic you can take the boat it will take you to the pier near Grand... More

After a hectic stag-do I wanted a break the craziness of Bangkok and to detox in a relaxing yet luxurious setting. I was tied between the mandarin oriental and the Siam. After debating with myself, the reviews of the Siam won me over. It is in a quiet part of town with mainly what appears to be local activities. The... More

Any review you've read on The Siam, will probably not do justice to this amazing hotel. We arrived at 0930 after overnight flight, greeted by the welcoming staff and were immediately taken to our room, which was one of the amazing River View Suites. 100 square meters of beautiful crafted indulgent serenity. Staff were ever helpful and informative, ensuring a... More

The Siam is a beautiful hotel, you feel like you are living in the most wonderful museum. Everywhere you look there are beautiful sculptures, artworks and furniture. The rooms are out of this world. The highlight was Mac the butler, he was incredibly kind, informative, helpful, discrete but there when we needed advice or suggestions. More hotels need a Mac... More
