After staying in Rainbow hostel next door I was apprehensive about staying here. However it was a pleasant surprise in comparison. The rooms were clean, the air condition was more than powerful and staff were friendly and helpful and even said for us to pay for one night rather than our whole booking to ensure we were satisfied with our... The location of Lucky House is superb, the staff leave something to be desired. We paid for our room and the 300 baht for the key deposit on arrival and everything was pretty straight forward. We walked past the reception desk several times throughout the day as well as the next morning. However, when we were checking out, we were... More

Yes the staff were unfriendly and very rude and yes the location is ideal. However, the thing that got me the most was the vile smell in my room that didn't dissappear. It was definitely someones urine. Maybe they didn't bleach the floor properly after some drunkard took a pee on in the corner? The second thing is walking around... More

We spent 3 nights here at the end of our 3 months travelling despite reading the bad reviews, and although the room was cleanish there was very little else good to say about this place. Four of us stayed in two rooms, and were hassled by the unbelievably rude desk staff about taking friends up to our rooms because she... More

We stayed for 2 nights - the first stop for us after a very long flight. We weren't expecting luxury, this is a backpackers hostel, not a hotel. You get what you pay for, although cheaper accommodation can certainly be found, but you pay a premium for being so close to Khao San Road. Reception staff barely tolerate having to... More

At the top of the khao san but didnt hear any music at all on an evening. Grean for taxis and tuk tuk but we caught the bus to the embassies, nnumber 15. Walking distance to the grand palace and recling buddha. Cheap, aircon, great wifi....im using it now. Definitely better than being on the khao san for sure!

We stayed for 3 nights just last week. As expected, the room was just fine for the price we paid as backpackers, although the room could be a bit suffocating because of poor ventilation. Plus, you have to deposit 250 THB for an old towel. It was almost tolerable. But the kind of service the staff rendered was too obnoxious... More

Perfect location, just opposite of ever 'partying' awake khao san road. Walking distance from all imp tourist destination (king's palace and Wat pho). Although many (very confused and misleading general crowd) would suggest you to take a taxi but walking 2-3 km is not a big deal. Clean Room, clean sheet, very small and not so clean washroom and less... More

This place is located 2 minutes away from Khao San Road and is surprisingly, not too noisy. Staff was fairly pleasant and helpful. Besides that, this is one of the most disgusting place we have stayed in the last 16 months of travelling. We opened the door to the room and the stench of stale cigarettes rushed past us just...
