I stayed here on the night of 8/12/14 in order to catch a 6am flight. The location of the hotel should considered as very rough in the evening if you want to take a walk or need to find something to eat (as I did); the room was musty and greasy; there was no towels provided in the bathroom; the... Stayed one night because we were in between flights. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport in a scruffy neighbourheid. Room and bathroom were clean. Free water, noodlesoup and a light snack on the room. Matrass was rather hard. Still I think it's a good budget option if you need to stay close to BKK.

Yes it is a cheap budget hotel, but very uncomfortable nights stay..very hard mattress, dirty bathroom and hard to find from the airport (probably a good 15mins from airport so not as close as thought) All I can say is don't be deceived by good reviews and pictures...! We wished in the end we just paid a little more to... More

We stayed as a family of four. The room was adequate after a long flight. The area it is located in is very industrial. We had the breakfast which was reasonable. Stay here only if you have an early flight out or a late flight in to Bangkok. Staff were friendly.

You pay for what you get. 100bht taxi ride away from the airport, about 10 minutes. All I wanted is a room for the night and that is what i got. Clean with air con and a safe. 400bht taxi ride into Bangkok. You could order breakfast if you wanted but my flight was at 06:00 so I eat at... More

We stayed one night before our flight. I know I shouldn't complain with such a cheap rate... But problem is there were so many mosquitoes in the room that even mosquito spray wasn't enough! The breakfast was an extra 100B each and we ended up eating outdoor under the sun (my advice is to skip it). There are a local... More

We have stayed twice at Rafael, both times happy with room size, comfort, cleanliness and the little extra touches that the friendly manager provides for guest satisfaction. A free welcome package of snacks and noodle cups in our room meant we didn't have to walk out for supper after a long flight. Tea and coffee available 24 hours. Simple, cheap... More

Like most others who have reviewed, I was here for an overnight transit - literally spent about six hours at Rafael Mansion. I'm glad I'd read it was in an industrial area or I'd have thought my taxi driver was nuts! Receptionist at night was pleasant and spoke decent English. The room was clean and functional. The bed was VERY... More

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are quite spacious, especially for Thailand. The owner is very friendly. He speaks good English and it appears he runs the hotel with his wife. You can tell he genuinely cares each of his guests have a good stay. While the hotel doesn't have a direct shuttle to the airport they happily... More
