The staff is amazing and super helpful. The location is really close to the BTS(public transport) and getting around is simple. I had a 4-person room; nice beds and air-condition. Good hygiene in bathroom and overall in the establishment. Nice and cozy commonroom as well (with free cookies:). 10/10 would recommend to a friend; 10/10 would book here again.

I stayed there for 3 nights as a quiet stop over in Bangkok, That was the plan. The hostel was super friendly and had an awesome common room where I met heaps of people which turned my quiet weekend into a small trip into a great weekend. Bee was an amazing host who knew alot about the city and was... More

Smile Society Hostel was perfect for our short stay in Bangkok. The rooms are clean with great amenities. The breakfast in the morning is a great way to start and plan your day. They had great recommendations for sight seeing and food! Location is perfect for hopping on the train as well! I highly recommend Smile Society!

We stayed in a dormitory type room, we're 7 and it was just right for us. The amenities were great. The place looks like a home. The location of the hostel was definitely best. We are near the station, marts, shops, and a lot. When we arrived from Cambodia, Air asia shipped our luggage's in China which took us over... More

The sisters we incredible. They were very accommodating and so nice. If I come back to Bangkok I will definitely be staying there again. They have tours available for booking from their front desk, however I would advise against booking there. They leave very early in the morning and you can find cheaper options elsewhere.

We have been many times in Bangkok in different areas but this was definitely the nicest and friendliest place. We stayed in a nice and clean double room with windows. The hotel is just of Silom road but very quiet at night. Very close to Sala Daeng BTS. The owner Ms. Bee speaks good English, is very friendly and helpful... More

I had booked two nights in the female dorm. I get to the hotel around noon and give reception my information but they say the room is not ready and to come back. I say I will be back in a few hours. When I get back there is no one there just a note that they were out and... More

The hostel is located strategically near Sala Daeng BTS and Silom metro. There's night market along the way to hostel. Moreover, the owner was very helpful in giving advice to explore and travel around Bangkok. It was a blessing in disguise as we were transferred to this hostel due to roof leaking issues at the initial booked hostel. You need... More

This is where we landed at first upon our arrival in Bangkok. We were there very early in the morning and they opened us to let our big bag even before our check-in later that day. You can see that this is not a brand new building from the inside, but it's very clean and welcoming. The house's rules are... More

I stayed two times at the Smile Society, once at the begining and once at the end of my trip. It is a nice medium sized Hostel. The best thing about the hostel is the owner, Bee. She is a very friendly lady who helped me getting started in Bangkok. She always gave good advice on what to see and... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
