A lovely little room which felt safe due to the security cameras and swipe card entrance. Room was clean and free water was provided every day. Reception staff were helpful and gave us tips about bangkok. Breakfast was lovely. Only issue was it is quite hard to find!

I stayed at Smile Society on recommendation from my friend, and loved it! It has such a friendly vibe, was clean, comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful giving great advice on getting around and what to do in the city. The area is a great location, more chilled than Khao San road with good transport links for getting across... More

My friend and I had only one day in Bangkok, and the owner of Smile Society was so helpful and patient in recommending all the sites we should hit and how to avoid tourist traps. The room was lovely and a short walk away from some gorgeous rooftop bars, local eateries, and a fascinating market. The hotel itself was very... More

I think I've stayed here 6 times now when passing through Bangkok. The reasons I keep coming are: 1. Bee on reception is superb an helpful. 2. The location, 4 mins from Sky Train Sala Daeng and the same from street food heaven on Soi Convent. 3. It's very clean. 4. It's social without being a 'party hostel' So if... More

This was the complete package of a great hostel. The staff were truly lovely and friendly, provided us with lists of places to see, would explain the map and transport till you understood it. They even packed us a breakfast and lunch when we checked out at 6am. The place was lovely and clean, social but never to the point... More

Myself and two friends stayed here twice last year on a trip around Thailand. When we landed in Bangkok and when we left several weeks later. The hostel was just what we needed after flying for so many hours. We were able to check in early and crash out in the lounge area until our rooms were ready. The whole... More

This was a brilliant place to stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and gave lots of information about the area, city and things to know. The room we stayed in was a triple which was clean, had a TV, low lighting and a very clean bathroom. It is a great place for the single traveller as the common room is... More

An excellent, very sociable hostel with the biggest breakfast I've ever had in a hostel. Location is great- not in the backpackers centre Khao San Road, but probably better with loads of markets, bars and malls around, as well as being near the sky train (khao San isn't). Unfortunately, the walls are pretty thin so if you're unlucky enough to... More

The hostel catered for my every need! The staff were really helpful, going above and beyond to make sure I had all the information required for my day trips. The hostel is located right next to the sky train and the metro. My room (dorm) was comfortable and always kept clean. The bed was nice and big which was helps... More

Stayed here a couple of times and always been impressed with the cleanliness, ambiance, free breakfast which is really yummy king size continental serving, location, safety and of course value for money. Also the bed is really good for my back. I will come back soon. Highly recommended for everyone. Keep it up Smile Society Hostel! God bless.
