Although the hotel was quite hard to find for our Tuk Tuk driver, we arrived after a long flight from Europe and were warmly welcomed with orange juice. Loy La Long has beautiful wooden floors, decoration and great personnel.. The best thing about this place? The view on the river while having delicious breakfast!

I worked in Thailand for 6 months last year and this was my go-to guesthouse for the weekends. It is completely unique - it's setting tucked behind a temple and right on the river is amazing. The rooms overlooking the river are noisy but it's such a great find and part of the atmosphere, you don't mind (and they supply... More

We arrived straight from our flight & were a bit startled as the taxi meandered its way in to Loy La Long, the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, less quaint than we'd imagined and there was not much of a facade, just a small back entrance. It is more rustic than the photos indicate, yet I wouldn't have missed this... More

We were initially disappointed that we could only book here for a night given the glowing reviews we had read on Tripadvisor - but then were glad we were only staying for a night. Good to have an unusual experience - both the hotel and the location behind a temple - and it was nice sitting on the deck looking... More

Stayed in the red room, really small room, with a curtained off bathroom.Toilet is about 4 ft from the bed. Shower was relatively heated, with decent pressure. Laundry service timely Room cleaning: effective. Noise: Didn't sleep very well there, between the cats having a sex party at our window, and their subsequent musky smell, party boat noises, and ultimately being... More

I had greatly anticipated our stay at Loy La Long and we were not disappointed upon arrival. The black room is amazing and we were thrilled to be right on the river. However, with two nights in the room and a goal to relax and escape the heat of the day we were thwarted when on our second day the... More

This place is so amazing I'm sure it doesn't even need another review to back it up. As someone with a lot of opinions :) and uses trip advisor this hotel inspired me to write my first review. I stayed in both the red and green room. They were both beautiful and breathtaking. The service is impeccable the breakfast delicious,... More

This is a wonderful wooden place right on the river. You can hear the slapping of the water as you nod off to sleep. There is some noise from the Chao Phraya in the form of cruise boats going by, but I didn't find it very disruptive at all. The balconies provide a wonderful space to watch the sunset. You... More

Loy Lalong This is fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Bangkok and so close to the Chau Praya River that the water occasionally comes through the floorboards after a big boat goes past! We stayed in the Black room specifically because it has its own deck though this is very small. However, with the river right outside... More
