Having breakfast and dinner at the terrace with the view of Chao Phraya River, waving back to the people on the boat just passing by, is really a fabulous experience. You can feel the river flowing under the floor where you standing, everything in the hotel is looks antiquity, very local Thai style that feeling you really having life in... More

I've been this hotel about 2 yeas ago, and I was pretty much impressed with it at that time. So, I decided to take my partner to stay with me for this time. 2 yeas ago, I stayed in Black Room and tried Green Room for this time. Both rooms were my favorite, however, it was a bit difficult to... More

If you're looking for a cheap, homey place to stay in Bangkok, this might suit you. The hotel is built within the shell of an old house perched on stilts above the Chao Phraya. The sunset from the roof deck was amazing. I'm going to try to post a time lapse I took of it on the hotel's facebook page.... More

I've stayed here twice on my way through Bangkok. I love staying right on the river. I love eating breakfast on their dock/veranda which juts out onto the water, but is enclosed enough for shade and shelter from rain. It's just great.

Loy La Long is a truly special place. The atmosphere here is one of complete serenity, ease and friendliness. Service is thoughtful and understated. There are people on hand if you need them but mostly they just let you enjoy this wonderful space at your own pace, in your own way. The rooms are beautifully and individually styled. The shared... This is authentic Chao Phraya river stay in Bangkok and we are amazed with the interior deco which make you feel like out from city! The room that we stayed is Red, interior was lovely however it was kinda stuffy perhaps it is located at 2nd floor and under the roof. We were enjoyed the river scene by sitting there... More

It's small and very difficult to find (Bangkok's taxi drivers aren't really the best for this), but once you've found it you will feel the most welcome you could ever imagine! The dark wood interior oozes charm and personality and easily passes as the little sister of the famous "Jim Thompson House", it's lovely and quirky and totally authentic! It's... More

We stayed here for our last night in Bangkok as a little treat before we left Thailand. We stayed in the black room and we loved it, listening to the water below us splashing we had the best nights sleep ever. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, it was the only night we did not go out it was... More

Easily the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We stayed in the Green Room, which was literally floating over the river. You could lean out the window and put your hand in the water if you were so inclined. Breakfast was delicious and was served on a table almost IN the river. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Although the hotel was quite hard to find for our Tuk Tuk driver, we arrived after a long flight from Europe and were warmly welcomed with orange juice. Loy La Long has beautiful wooden floors, decoration and great personnel.. The best thing about this place? The view on the river while having delicious breakfast!
