I was staying here accompanied my friend from Manila few days ago. My friend asked me to chosed the location near Terminal 21 and BTS. Not expect high with Asokmontri condition since this is a hostel. Room is clean but old, big room. Hot water ok, but the room is facing to the road, and we could hear the music... More

We stayed here for a night in February, during the recent protests. Pros: 1) Free wi-fi 2) Free breakfast 3) Hot, dependable shower in the private double ensuite 4) Safe and clean 5) Very nice staff 6) Very near BTS rail link 7) Quiet and laid back Cons: 1) Free "breakfast" is a piece of bread with butter and a... Asok Montri is a house that has rooms converted into a dorm. I thought with some positive feedbacks that I have read in TripAdvisor, I won't go wrong deciding to stay in this hostel for the duration of my stay in Bangkok which is 26 days. My problem started when the taxi couldn't find the place. I arrived in Bangkok... More

The hostel itself is a real trek from the center of Bangkok (great when the protests are on, terrible otherwise), whatever you save on money (and it's not cheap at 1000 baht a night) you will lose in transport, the train is very cheap but it's a 10 minute walk to it and takes a while once you get on.... I've been traveling through Thailand for a few weeks now. With the protests going on right outside Khao San Road, I needed a safe, yet convenient place to stay in Bangkok for a few nights. I found Asok Montri Hostel to be a little gem with extremely great location near BTS, MRT and a shopping mall all just within a... More

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay once a week. I live outside of Bangkok and I have to be in Asok area very early in the morning. This seemed to be the perfect place to stay. The website looked really professional and the pictures very nice. The reviews here were also very positive so I was excited... More

The hostel rate is reasonable. The receptionist are very friendly. The location is very near the Asok station. The nearby Terminal 21 shopping mall has very good and cheap food court. The bathroom always has hot water. The only small problem is that the wifi signal in 4th floor is low. However, with a limited budget, I don't need more... More

I have stayed in this hostel 6 or 7 times (June 2012, October 2012, December 2012, March 2013), each time one or maximum 2 nights when I had to do something on Sukhumvit Road, mostly shopping or do some business in one of skyscrapers in Asoke area. This hostel is very convenient if you want to go shopping because Terminal... More
