Was traveling with my family and stayed there for 4 nights. Ideally located and staff were very polite & helpful. Small rooftop swimming pool was great and the Spa was lovely. Also a very good choice of breakfast.

Our family of six, ranging in age from 9 years old to 75 years old, stayed in three double rooms. Our rooms were on the top floor facing the canal and they were cool and quiet. The breakfast was lovely as was the roof-top pool and koi pond. We loved the location. Great vegetarian restaurant - Mai Kaidee's just down... More

Stayed for four nights in Bangkok. It was okay but maybe next time I would request a room change although not sure if you can escape the sounds of the drills and banging that start every morning! Pros: Good location for exploring Bangkok. Clean. Cons: Requested double room and got two twin beds pushed together. Building work meaning loud disturbances... More

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Central and walking distance to major attractions and of course Khao San Road (for the nightlife). Perfect for people wanting a real feel of Bangkok with an uncountable amount of restaurants, bars, massage parlours and street markets right at your doorstep. The hotel itself is good. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and... More

Great location, close to Ko San Rd. Clean, modern hotel. Awesome complimentary breakfast. Shops nearby. Concierge very helpful in planning day trips and recommending things. Rooftop pool was a necessity in Bangkok. Good value. Spacious room with massive shower.

I was shocked when I returned to my room from dinner only to find that my computer had been physically broken while I was out and nobody should've been in my room! Do not stay at this hotel if you own anything valuable that you plan on bringing. I had a nice check in at this hotel I was a... More

Stayed here over Christmas . Nice hotel with good size modern rooms with usual facilities , ours was in the newly renovated section overlooking the canal - the restaurant at the back was also being refurbished at the time.Staff were friendly and helpful, small pool on the roof which was very popular. Location is probably the best selling point .... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a tour of Thailand before heading back to Uk. Thought the hotel pictures don't really reflect the rooms. One half of the room is seems new and modern in grey.then the fridge and the bathroom side hasn't been up dated. Our room didn't have much natural light as the window looked... More

The pool is good, but otherwise I would not choose to stay at this hotel again. The beds are very hard, the room I stayed in was dark, dingey and depressing. The area is extremely touristy, lots of drunk teenagers...but it is near some of the sites if that's what you're after. The check in staff we nice though. Depends... More

This is a very good Hotel with friendly and willing staff who greet you warmly as you arrive. The room was clean and well maintained. It is situated in a good part of Bangkok as it is an easy walk to Kosan Road and a 20 minute walk to the royal palace and Wat Pho - reclining Buddha. There are... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
