Praya Palazzo is a restored colonial mansion, it is situated right on the river bank and really leaves you wondering if you are actually in Bangkok. If someone is on business or has scheduled appointments I would not recommend this property. However if someone is on a break or a holiday, then it is a fantastic place to stay. The... More

I enjoyed the stay - but you'd need approach this hotel in the right frame of mind to have a good time. I guess if a large branded hotel business had restored this old river-front house then it would be like Marriott/Starwood/Hilton inside a classic-looking shell .... but this was a private restoration and so it's more like semi-restored Italian... This hotel is inaccessible by road. On arrival you are issued a cell phone to use to summon the boat which ferries you across the river from a public pier on the other side. Rooms are part of an old mansion, so the walls are a bit thin. Perfect place to relax by the pool midday to,escape from the city... More

As a local, it is good to see this old and abandoned building across the river from Phra-Ahit Road has finally been renovated and properly used. The service was excellent. The room was good though the wooden floor is a bit squeeky and the kettle could be much better for a hotel in this price range. But that's all I... More

We've stayed at Praya Palazzo for 2 nights, very pleasant and nice place! Contrast to crowded and noisy Bangkok, crossing the river in 3 minutes you're in other world, calm, peaceful and very green! This is something in between real Italian palazzo somewhere near Garda lake and true Thai resort in some warm area like Phuket. Very good and relaxing... More

Naturally you can stay in a big swish high-rise chain hotel in Bangkok, but why would you when you could book a large Indochine room in this small Italianate villa with a beautiful garden and pool right on the river where you can watch the Thai gondolas float by? Even in Venice it's hard to get your own private motorboat... More

You just give them a call and they come out right away with this cute little boat to pick you up from the Phra Arthit Pier (Nr.13). This little boutique hotel has the look of an Italian palazzo and at the same time it is a set back in the early 1900's. The hotel has 17 rooms. 2 years ago... More

Stayed here for a week and I have to say, it's one of the best hotels to stay at. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. They do their best to keep their customers happy. The breakfast at the side of the river was excellent. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and if I'm... More

Here is the single most important reason to go back to Bangkok. After the hustle and frenzy that is Bangkok their boat drops you over the river in a totally private, quiet oasis. One of the most faithful restorations I have been in with lovely rooms, great dining and a beautiful pool. The staff are very attentive and attentive. Every... More

Food was OK... Nothing special, nothing "wow" except of the prices, they were a BIG "wow"... Definitely not good value for money. Ordered the 1,450 baht steak, it took 1 hour to get it and got it with cold French fries, my guess it was just sitting there with no waiter to pick it up from the kitchen... But the... More
