4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013 NEW

My partner and I stayed at U-Place for the last three nights of our month in Thailand.  I note that although U-Place is listed in the "Bed & Breakfast" category, in my opinion it is more of a hotel, as it is somewhat lacking in the character and personal service of a B&B.  Nevertheless, it is a comfortable place to... Stayed here for 3 nights in november 2012. We printed the directions for the taxi driver in Thai, don't forget this because the hotel is not very well known. The hotel is situated in a local, quiet area which is nice after exploring busy Bangkok. The room was big with two separate part and airconditionings, which worked well. Simple but... More

U place We booked this property due to location and value for money in this price range. It is around a 10-15 walk to Khaosan Road however away from all the noise. On checkin you are given an information pack on the area with maps etc which is very helpful and welcoming. This was the most comfortable bed I've slept... More

I stayed at U-Place with my husband in March. It was conveniently located about a 20-30 minute walk from The Grand Palace and Wat Pho. It was in a quieter area that seemed to be surrounded by locals and a lot less hotels. There was a busy morning market a few blocks away. The place was clean but very empty.... More

We've stayed ten nights at U Place, divided in two stays. In both stays it was great. The place is clean and the rooms are spacious with a simple and modern decoration. It's clean, more gray and white, what I liked very much- no carpets, no excessive furniture - but enough space to organize all of your stuff, chair, small... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days in January 2013. The place feels more like an apartment building for expats then a hotel. However, the building and the surrounding area are very safe and there is a security guard at night. Upon checking in, we were given an envelope with a map and some useful information about the area... More

the place itself is ok, it doesn't have much ambiance but nice to be able to have a swim after a hot day Bangkok. too expensive for what it is though. I stayed 5 nights and they did not clean the room or change the sheets or anything while I specifically asked them to do so. I personally did not... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in January 2013. We arrived very early in the morning (3am) and were a little concerned that we might not be able to locate the security guard to get our key. However, there were no issues and we were able to get our key with no issues whatsoever. You definitely need to print the... More

Nice hotel. Great pool. Quiet area 10 min walk from Kao san rd. Nice room, cable tv etc. Only issue was no WiFi. It doesn't work! But they let me use the PC. I would stay here again when I am in BKK again.

we really enjoyed staying here. It was a clean, affordable room in the middle of a quiet residential neighbourhood - we loved the wats and the neighborhood people. The pool is quite shadowy but great for cooling off at the end of the day. There were lots of families staying as well. It is close to all the sites of... More
