My room was a single with a shared bathroom. Very basic, only a bed in the room. It was clean and the bathroom was mostly free. This hotel is right next to kaoh San road so easy to walk home after a night out. Saying that the rooms are a bit noisey from all the music but nothing too bad.... More

Lovely restaurant. Been there in the end of 2015 and had to go back in the beginning of this year, one day before I leave Thailand, because I couldn't see another restaurant but this!! Great environment, great food, great drinks and great staff!

The rooms are basic but are good value for the price. There is air con and WiFi throughout the hotel, but there was only one plug socket in the room which proved to be a bit annoying. The hotel is in a good location on Soi Rambuttri and close to Khao San Road, and our room seemed to be sound... More

I paid for a private ensuite room which was large and had good air conditionning and wifi signal. Overlooked the main street so noisy into the early hours, even with the window shut. Hot water available in the shower-tip, when having a shower put the toilet roll outside as the shower ends up soaking the toilet and you end up with... More

We stayed just one night, as we had to be at the Lomprayah office the next morning at 5.30 AM. the location is very centraal, walking distance to where all the backpacker buzz happend, but also very noisy at night. We had a room in the front, maybe that was why it was so noisy. We didn't sleep very well.... More

I have stayed here previously and thought it was clean and comfortable. This time the bathroom was rancid, bed sheets were dirty and it was so noisy!! We must have been lucky the previous 2 times but this time oh my lord. Booked this hotel for the first and last part of our trip but couldn't face going back at... More

Booked through Agoda and after a long bus ride realised I had actually booked for the day before (idiot!). As I was a "no show" my card was charged for the night I missed but the guy at reception said he would use that payment to cover my first night. A great gesture as I was happy to pay for... More

First stumbled upon Khaosan road in February and Green House restaurant was one of the nice places I've been to, so I decided to stay for 2 nights upon my return trip in Dec. The thing about the hostel is that it was extremely lacking for its price - US$22 can go a long way on Airbnb in Bangkok. The... More

Very basic hostel. Private rooms with shared bathrooms. If you come to Khao San/Rambuttri to party then this is a good place to crash. Cockroaches at the reception are more common than uncommon. Also in the stairway, however not in the rooms.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
