The staff are very friendly and the location is alright, walking distance to the khaosan road. The bathroom is nice and the air con is decent. The beds however are the hardest things imaginable. Nearly as hard as the Spartan concrete floor. Decent enough hotel.

Great location. Less than 10 mins from Khao San chaos and 3 mins to the river ferry. It feels like a concrete cell block unless you have balcony at the back and can watch the locals fishing in the canal. Nice but over priced rooftop bar. Full of friendly local Uni students. Dreadful amateur live music (don't worry they stop... More

We spent one night there, pretty basic room but we had our own bathroom and the air conditioning made the experience so much nicer. It's right in town and you can walk pretty much to all the big must see's. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. A little noisy, but that's Bangkok. Bed was comfy, and the front... More

We stayed at Fortville for one night since the place we stayed the previous night was fully booked for the next night. The staff were friendly but they don't speak very good english. When we opened the door to our room the smell of mold was like a slap in the face. Probably because of the guesthouse's bunker-like space the... More

We stayed at the Fortville Guesthouse for two nights in a Superior Double and one night in a Standard Double. We arrived in Bangkok with no booking and after having some trouble in finding a room in nearby guesthouses, decided to pay a little bit extra than we normally would and stay at Fortville. The first room we had was... More

With respect to previous reviews with top ratings this guesthouse is far too expensive. The rooms are dark and small. Bare concrete walls, floor and ceilings remind me of a prison cell. Clean bathroom albeit a large cockcroach staring at me when I took a shower. No breakfast makes it a bad bet. Checked out the next day and went... More

A good location close to Bangkok's main touristic attractions, that we have reached by foot after a pleasant walk along the river. The hotel is of a good quality price, with a minimalist and elegant decoration in the rooms. Do not miss the rooftop upstairs !

Good location, a few blocks from Khao San Road. Helpful staff to help book train tickets. Clean rooms, very minimalist with concrete floors and walls but just fine! Easy to get to river ferry. Overall good place with wicked old school lift!

I stayed there for four nights. We did a reservation and as we came by night bus they let us drop our luggage and relax until 10am to check-in (usually check-in time is at 2pm). The check-in went smoothly. The room was tiny, it was pretty much a bed and a good bathroom (hot water, spacious, free soap and shampoo,... More

Hotel staff were great. I bought a phone and it was all in Thai script but the receptionist figured out how to switch it to English. The rooms were good for the cheap rate. Beds are a little stiff, no a/c, and small rooms, but they were clean. Just an fyi, a taxi to this hotel from either airport should... More
