So this was a super budget hotel near the airport where we planned to spend 6 hours. The fun started with the free shuttle. Because it's free we were told "10 minutes wait over there" and 30 minutes had ticked by while waiting for all 8 people on their list. We were still missing 3 passengers but they finally took... This has become our standby for the inevitable overnights at the airport when flying into Thailand, as our final destination is always far away from Bangkok. If you are looking for a hotel near the airport, for the price , I doubt you could do much better than Tongta. The location, the friendliness of the staff and the free shuttle... More

Bad smell; far away rooms; For a telephone call to city- you would need to go to reception to make it. Nobody to make-up rooms; empty refrigerator; no drinking water supply... List is endless during this time's stay at Thongta. Have stayed here several times- however this time is really not so pleasant. Do not recommend for passengers for more... More

My room was clean, which is the most important thing. But the hallway was relatively noisy between the cleaning staff and rowdy guests, the shower was lukewarm and one of those hose things you have to hold so it's impossible to wash your hair properly, the bed was quite hard and I had read that they had a gym, which... We were looking for a hotel near the airport and for the price we paid, we can't really complain but we will... We liked the location, the friendliness of the staff and the free shuttle. Internet was fine but not blazing fast. We didn't like the loud music that went all night, the sewage water smell coming from the bathroom.... More

We booked here because it was cheap and close to the airport as we had a early morning flight. Staff were friendly enough at checkin. When we asked about getting food delivered just gave us a number and told us to do ourselves. Only Thai food available for room service. Room was nice. Telly had loads of channels which made... More

Picked this hotel, b/c shuttle from airport, and only had 12 hours in Bangkok. We basicallly wanted a place to rest, and take a shower before our flight of 20+ hours. Check in went ok. Then went down and asked the 2 ladies working the desk about a tour. Too busy to help, although they had a sign encouraging us... More

We had an early morning flight and only one afternoon in bangkok so this was ideal for fear of sleeping in the next day. It was about a 45 minute train and bus/ tuktuk ride to the main shopping district. Too far from site seeing temples if you only have a short time but possible if you had a couple... More

This is most definitely just a transit stop, but a really good choice for one. You get picked up and dropped off at the airport, which is great for nasty 4am check ins. The room was more than fine for the value for money room rate: clean, tv and wifi, aircon, small balconies. Would definitely recommend to others needing an... More

We booked three double rooms in the recently built new section. On the whole they were very good value; clean, well appointed, comparatively quiet with good beds. In short our one night stay was restful and comfortable. The inclusive breakfast was standard Thai 'concept' western; 'juice', egg fried in floral-shape, slice of 'ham' and a Weiner sausage, toast and jam,... More
