My wife and I visited for 3 days in April and booked directly through their own website. We also asked to be included in some tours but didn't bother to ask too many details. We arrived early in the morning and were picked up from the airport by Mrs Rat who is a very lovely person who made a great... More

Rat and Nut treated our large family like theirs for the 3 days we were with them! Looking at a second trip to their B&B. Nut customized the tours to accommodate the kids. Rat went out of her way to get the foods the kids liked.

My husband and I did a private tour with Rat for our honeymoon. He took us to see the salt farm, train market, and floating market. It was a lot of fun and a great way to learn about Thailand’s culture. He picked us up from our hotel and was very friendly. We asked him a lot of questions to... More

The location was such a relief to busy Bangkok with quietness and local touch. Mrs Rat really made our stay feel like home by serving authentic thai food for breakfast every morning. She also gave us an cellphone in case we got lost in the city. Her son took us outside Bangkok to see the old capital and he really... More

I chose to book this B & B after much hesitation. In fact, I had in mind its location isn't very favorable by public transit. But in the end I was convinced by the good reviews, and I haven't regretted it. The neighborhood in which the B & B is located (made mostly by traditional low houses) gives a good... More

I've stayed at Rat's on many occasions. The rooms are well appointed, air conditioned, spotless; an excellent breakfast tailored to guest preferences is served; and Rat and her family understand guest service. They provide driving support, tour and sight recommendations and generally are there to handle all guest needs. The location of the guesthouse is in a local neighborhood rather... More

The guest house rooms are spacious, air conditioned, free wi fi, scrupulously clean, and breakfast is excellent. Ratt makes sure you are safe, comfortable, and well fed. She even gave us a cell phone with her number during our forays into the neighborhood in case we had problems. Which we did not. Wonderfully real neighborhood with morning markets and monks... More

Great place to stay, like being in a home. Rooms are large, beautifully appointed and have ac and great showers. Very quiet neighbourhood off Chan Rd Rat picked us up at 5 am at the airport and arranged tours out to the train market. Her son Natee is also a driver/tour guide and great one for guiding you around. But... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
