Was happy to find this hotel as it was right by the Chao Praya River and the price was affordable. Pick the room with the balcony facing the river and you're gonna love it. Got to have breakfast and dinner at the outdoor courtyard and enjoy the view at the same time. Both western and thai food were pretty well... More

Don't get suckered into staying in this hotel. Way overpriced for what it is, rooms are small and moldy, and infested with tiny ants everywhere. To top it off, staff is probably the rudest I've encountered anywhere in BKK. They seem extremely unhappy, unfriendly, and overall irritated whenever you need something. When I asked the receptionist if I could add... More

I discovered the New Siam Riverside when it first opened in 2007. I visit Bangkok about once or twice a year and since 2007 I have always stayed at the New Siam Riverside. Last April I got an upgrade to a top floor room with a large balcony / patio – what a nice room especially with the very private... More

Great location, very close to Khao San Road and a pier to get the river taxi to other parts of the city. The hotel has a pool with a few sun loungers. Rooms are clean with air conditioning. Breakfast is provided but wasn't to my liking, random soups, strange hot dog style sausages and soggy bacon, however, there are plenty... More

This is a good value hotel with great views of the river. We chose a river view room and it was lovely, good size but the shower pressure was not great. The staff were very helpful. Not much happening in the evening- go next door where there is good live music and food and more happening including two for one... More

Very good clean budget hotel. All the basics you would expect and more. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location with the breakfast area situated right next to the river with excellent views. You can step out through the back entrance right onto the harbour and take a ferry. Hotel also has a swimming pool which was essential when we... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at New Year, we had a city view room which had a huge balcony and we enjoyed sitting outside with a beer. The rooms are basic but clean and quiet. Great location for site seeing, river taxi and Khaosan Road. Breakfast was good and was served outside. We ate dinner here on the first... More

We stayed for four nights at the end of January and had a wonderful time. The guesthouse/hotel is certainly not a luxury hotel but the rooms, beds, and bedding were quite clean and comfortable. We stayed in two deluxe river view rooms (My wife, son and I in one and my mother-in-law in the other) which had a wonderful view... More

New Siam Riverside is a luxurious guest house located right beside the Chaophraya River at the heart of Bangkok's tourist district. All of our rooms come with a safe, a mini fridge, satellite TV, bedside control, and a latex foam bed. Additionally, a breakfast buffet is included in the room price. The guest house is located within walking distance of a number of great tourist attractions including: the grand palace, Wat Phra Kaew (the temple of the emerald Buddha), Wat Pho (with the great reclining Buddha), Wat Arun (the temple of dawn), the national theater, the national museum, Thammasat University, and Khaosan Road. ... more   less
