First of all, I would like to say that the owner, Ken, was an excellent host. He was very helpful by asking all of our questions, giving us hints and tips about Bangkok, and generally being a nice person to chat to. The location of the place is also great, right outside Punnawithi BTS Station, making access to downtown Bangkok... More

The first thing to mention is about the owner of the hotel Mr.Ken Khurana. Ken picked us from airport and gave us an intro about Bangkok on the way to his hotel.A nice experience to remember.Merlin lodge is a small but comfortable hotel at a good location. It is a ideal place for those who want to use the metro... More

I stayed in this hotel in May 2013 for 5 days. I was little worried as in the begining, because I was landing bangkok in the early morning 3.00a.m. But hotel owner Ken was waiting for me in the airport. He promptly took me in that odd time to the hotel. My stay was very relaxed without any worries. It... More

The rooms were a good size, and it was generally a good location(right outside a subway stop, some small restaurants and a shopping center nearby) but the "cafe" isn't really a cafe and I didn't see a bakery, as was advertised. They didn't clean the room the five days we were there, which was a little strange. The noisy street... More

cons: No room service, small room, no lift pros: the owner Mr ken khurana is very helpful. if your priority is to travel bangkok on your own, he can give you detail suggestion. cheap food nearby. Though this hotel lack basic facilities still I will like to return only for the guidance for bangkok tour that no hotel will ever... More

When I first arrived I was a bit disappointed because the website makes the hotel look way better than it really is. There is no minimart as it states in the website. The rooms are ok, although we were paying for hot water, there wasn't any. Also we were there for a week and not once did they come clean... More

The location is good but also bad. It's near bts station, but so far away from any attraction, not easy to find food. I stayed in triple room, with my lil sis and our friend, the room is good but small, the toilet also good. But they never clean the room while we stay there, so we have to throw... More

Bedroom was dirty when we arrived. Grime on the floor and surfaces and dirty footprints on the wall next to the bed. Sheets and pillow cases smelled bad and the duvet was stiff and smelly like it had never been washed. Hot water in the shower didn't work, drain pipe in the basin leaked, and there was frequently no water... More

The location was alright, very close to the metro! Ken was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, and needed sheets and blankets, the pillows were VERY hard too. Breakfast was not worth the price, you didn't get a lot! Overall it was average, but it would be better if they fixed the little things!

we confirmed a price with owner by e-mail, and upon arrival (and carrying our heavy bags across the city) the price increased by 100 baht per night over and above what he quoted to us by e-mail. We showed the proprieter the e-mail he sent us, but he would not acknowledge it, even though it was there in black and... More
