I've stayed in Chinatown a few times before, but this was my first times staying at Check Inn Chinatown and I loved it. It is very cozy hotel with wonderful staff that will go out of there way to assist you. It wasn't difficult for me to find the hotel at all due to the clear signs. There are amazing... More

Stayed here over chinese new year as it's a great location relative to yaorowat. Biggest problem was that room 309 had a big chasm in its matress. Everything else was fine. No problems with check in, clean sheets and prompt room service.

Right in the heart of Chinatown and gold stores. All walking distance. Comfy bed and kitchenette was nice. Elevator was appreciated after a long day walking. Excellant air!! Had a little trouble with Internet connection but go into hallway and push button to reset it. Easy! I will stay here again.

I arrived in BKK in the morning before a midnight flight back to the USA. Check Inn Chinatown was I nice place to rest. Check in Chinatown is tucked in s small alleyway and very difficult to find. You'll most likely have to ask locals for help. Which can be fun if you are traveling light. My room was small... More

Chinatown Bangkok has some of the best quality of gold jewelry in the world and this budget hotel is right in the heart of the gold and gem district. Located off a side ally rather than a Main Street it may be a trifle elusive in finding. Rooms are small and basic but clean and equipped with mini kitchen, sink,... More

Budget hotel, very good location in a small backstreet in the Chinatown area. The hotel need some renovation/improvements and refreshing. Beds are clean and comfortable. The small kitchenette is an added plus. Coffee maker and microwave. Bathrooms very small.

It is absolutely great location just a few steps to heart of china town and Suapa center. It was our 2nd time to stay here. The road quite small so we dont took a car. Across the road is a famous chinese temple. It even can walk from MRT Hualampong about 20 mins (we did walking follow gps and weather... More

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
