I am happy to come back here every time I am in Bangkok as it ticked our boxes. Comfortable transportation with the BTS station to any part of the city. Taxi's are cheap as well. Trip to Don Muang costs just 250 THB. All rooms now have wooden flooring, new couches, flat TV screen etc. The reception staffs are friendly... More

I'm currently staying at the hotel room 717. When I first went into the room I booked, i noticed it was a really old room especially the bathroom. It was horrible. Holes in the ceiling, moulds around the bath tub, not much water pressure but I thought it'd be ok just to stay. When I came back to the hotel... More

The receptionists were helpful, the free wifi worked well, housekeeping always kept the room clean and stocked with towels. AC worked well. Bring DVDs if you want in room entertainment as the TV has very limited English channels. There is a very handy minimart downstairs and excellent fruit smoothies and fresh hot coffee in the lobby. Did not try roof... More

3rd time stay in this hotel. Friendly reception staffs. The hotel is under renovation and stayed in a redecorated room this time. They do offer simple semi-breakfast buffet with limited choices but enough to fill your stomach. In fact, there are convenience store and restaurant just next to the hotel. It located in a quiet area with the sky train... More

This hotel is ok. It means if you want freshness, upmarket and have high expectancy then you should not bother. Its great plus is that its just ON the Skytrain station Surasak, so you get everywhere in a few minutes. It takes 10-15 minutes to Siam. 30 minutes to Khao San (the ferry-station Taksin is just 5 minutes away). The... More

OK....it;s not the Ritz by any means, but at $29 USD a night in high season, incl breakfast, good a/c unit, rooftop pool, and good internet it works for me! The beds are large, king size. The rooms are large and since it runs perpendicular to the street most have no street noise. In front of the hotel by the... More

We are a young backpacking couple, during our time we stayed in some pretty shabby places, that being said this place was OK...a health and safety nightmare but OK. The room was clean, with new towels given each day. The rooftop pool was decent but watch the decking it's old and broken. The gym?? Don't bother The breakfast...where to begin,... More

I booked this hotel for some of my family members. It was catastrophic! It worths to be closed by health authorities. Dirty, unsafe, all furniture and bathroom facilities are old and dirty, electric system is old with extremely dangerous exposed wires and not following the elementary rules of safety. My family and I complained with the staff and they got... More

My third stay at this amazing hotel and still my favorite. Great value for money with a simple but comfortable room. The AC worked well and the DVD player was convenient. 2 free bottles of water a day provided (water is gold in Thailand). Ideal location (right next to Surasak BTS which therefore is very close to BTS Siam to... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighborhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
