The pillow was very uncomfortable, the shower was kind of cold, the paint in the bathroom was mould, but it's a cheap room, perfect for backpackers, very close to Khao San Road where the nightlife is. Downstairs, the living room is nice and you can use computers. The Wifi is good.

Stayed here in January 2015 with my parents and got a double bed room and we had an extra mattress added. It has a very excellent location at quiet Soi Rambuttri, with just a few walks away from Wat Chana Songkram (you can start your day by paying this temple a visit in the morning before starting touring), and just... We stayed here twice during our 6 month trip and I found it to be just what we needed. As two female backpackers we felt very safe and secure in our rooms. The wifi was very good the aircon also good and the location perfect for nightlife. Yes reception staff could have been friendlier but at the end of the... More

I stayed here on two occasions. The rooms are clean, there's an outdoor seating area and it's only a short walk from the booming and fun Khao San Road. They also provided some of the best wi-fi I could ask for in SEA. Unfortunately some of the staff was incredibly rude. Between my two stays they told me I could... More

I stayed here for a whole month and reviewed the hotel before I checked out and I need to update my review to accurately review the whole experience. The price is good for the size of the room, The wifi was fast. They are not girl friendly, so you wouldn't be able to bring a new boyfriend or girlfriend up... More

I'm currently staying here, they have 18 rooms total and 6 of those rooms are rooms with king size beds. Each level has two king size bed rooms. I think the best value is to get the room with the king size bed if you are traveling alone or with a significant other. The room price is 608 baht. Cheaper... More

Stayed at this hotel in August 2014, costs 621B for a double bed room. The mattress felt like it was carved out of stone and there was no hot water in the shower. We made a deal with the reception-guy (around 6:30 AM) that we could leave our bags in our room while we made a day trip that would... More

I highly recommend you stay somewhere else. The receptionist was surly and unhelpful. She clearly disliked westerners. The WiFi didn't work properly in my room so I has to keep going to the lobby and the staff were not interested. In fact the receptionist wouldn't even look up from her desk to speak directly to you.

Wifi wasn't working, staff not approachable, loud, no ac-not good for price. It was clean. Only stayed one night because I arrived in Bangkok at 1 am and just crashed. Quickly changed accommodations as there are many more options in the area.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
