First of all I love the area this hotel is located. The area has changed over the last 15 years for the better. Several of the old buildings have been replaced with modern hotels which have done a nice job of fitting into the area as they are only about 5 - 6 stories high. Many of the old wooden... More

Great location, friendly staff, close to the kao sahn Road and jenny's restaurant which makes a fantastic masamam curry. Rooms big and ideal, WiFi is great and works throughout the hotel. My Home away from home.

This hotel is quiet, large enough, has staff that speak a little english, and is definitely nothing special, not new, does not offer food (but there are many restaurants nearby). I stay here whenever I am in Bangkok because I know the location and the area around. It is easy to walk around.

I didn't liked it because it the room was really old, especially the fan made so crazy noises when I was sleeping that I was afraid that it'll fell of me and it had a lot of insects in it. Something was biting me the whole time there. I mean it is really cheap but I'm sure you can find... More

NakornPing located in Samsen Soi 6 is one of the "OK" average hotel in that area. There's a lot of Inn along that street with incredibly low prices but do not expect that much. For 800bath we stayed here for 3 nights with hot shower and cold water in the fridge. The market is just a block a way with... More

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions. Our room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable, a little old fashioned and slightly tired in décor, but nothing to complain about as like I said, they were clean. The in-room fridge was really useful for storing water and snacks. Perfect location for backpackers who don't want to be in the middle... More

Hotel looks like form the 70s, but has big rooms and bathrooms. Wifi was working. It`s 10 minutes walk from Khao San Road. And there are 2 great massage places near hotel. One bad thing was that when we wanted to leave our baggage before flying back home (of course paying for it), we had to almost argue, to put... More

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The shower was filthy with wet footprints and long black hair still on the floor from the last person who showered there, seemingly only minutes before our arrival. The bathroom smelled like urine and tooth decay. There was an awful bare fluorescent bulb to light the disgusting room... More

Extremely unappealing, shabby older structure, furnished with rickety bits of furniture. No lamps, only a flourescent bar near the high ceiling. The bathroom is minimalist to the extreme, not even offering a toilet paper holder, in fact, no toilet paper. There is a toilet and a sink, but no counter, not even a ledge to set out our toiletries. The... More

Believe it or not I have been staying at this hotel for nearly 15 years (many of the same staff, give or take a few teeth:) It is safe, clean, efficient and a great location if you value access to the river / Baglamphu /Khoasan area with a local vibe. Safe area (we visit Bkk at least 5x a year... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
