I stopped here a couple months ago. . I usually go up market for hotels.. but travelling on my own so thought i would tone it down... but this hotel was fantastic a fraction of the price i usually pay and got the 1 bedroom suite... breakfast was great.. location was great .. local nightlife was fantastic and all the... I stayed at this hotel for a weekend. I had the studio room. It was small. Very small. But it was clean and inexpensive. The hotel has a great location off of Silom and is super close to Patpong and the BTS. Bonus is the staff were incredibly friendly and it is across the street from a cheap and good... More

This hotel is useful for every aspect. It is clean and efficient, has good breakfast and close to transport. Shopping is easy to get to, food is knocking at the door and the staff can and will arrange any tour.

I stayed in a single room, which was tiny, but clean. The room had a window to a small alley way so it hardly got any sunlight. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The location is excellent, right near Patpong, Soi 2, and the Skytrain stop is just a 5 minute walk away. The staff at the... More

It is just a few minutes walk to the Hotel my friends stayed at, together with whom I played golf . And very good access to the stations(Silom of Metro and Skytrain) and to the Japanese restaurants and many entertainments. The air conditioner in the room first assigned was out of order but quickly changed to the other room by... More

This hotel is near the gay and pingpong show districts. If you aren't into them, it ain't a good location. 6minute walk to Saladaeng BTS, nightclubs, bars and like any part of Bangkok, the night markets. If you are planning to do tailoring, it's a 15-20minute walk to Silom Lane/Soi 10 areas. It has a gym, and also nearby to... More

This hotel has many good points and one bad point. It is a good quality hotel for your money, the staff are lovely and the location is excellent for all major tourist attractions. Just a short walk to the trains through two main streets that change in atmosphere dramatically from morning to night. As a woman traveling alone I felt... More

Let me begin this review by first stating that I did not stay at the De Arni hotel, but instead frequented the bar on two occasions during a 3 night stay in Bangkok to commence my honeymoon. My partner and I were advised to head to the Patpong area by our hotel concierge as he suggested that there were several... More

Ive stayed at De Arni on two separate weekends and I found the place very comfortable, clean, understatedly chic and supremely quiet eventhough it skims the Patpong nightlife area. It just skims the very edge of all the bars, clubs and shopping of the famous Silom district so everything is in walking distance. The staff are also very helpful and... More

Small, comfortable boutique hotel in the middle of bustling Bangkok. It was a little oasis in the middle of this crazy city. Good points - friendly staff, lovely bar and small terrace on the street, location and clean and well appointed room. Bad points - beds hard as a rock, no swimming pool and wifi a bit hit and miss.... More

Staying in Silom

Neighborhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
