The Dang Derm Hotel is in the perfect location as it is on the Koadsan Road and was reasonable priced when we stayed here. The pool was the perfect place to relax and soak up the afternoon sun after a morning of sight seeing, with a hot tub pool wnad the main pool. The room was reasonably clean, and spacious.... More

I stayed there for three nights and it was pleasant stay. Room was small and there was a mattress instead of the bed, but it was clean. Hotel is in the middle of Khao San Road. I arrived at 1 am, when parties begun, and realising how loud it is, I asked for quiet room and thenkfully I got it.... More

Checked in last minute after arriving by train to Bangkok at 7am. Check in was smooth and easy for our group of 6. We booked a family room that totaled 4100 baht for 6 people (about $19 US per person). Upon entering, the room was really nice, clean, and we were all very happy. The rooftop pool is a great... The hotel is very central, right off Khao San road. Despite the location, it is relatively quiet, although you can hear a little nise from the nearby bars. The rooms were comfortable, but we found a few dead flies in our sheets, which was unfortunate.

The hotel is located on busy Khao San Rd but our room was quiet & clean. It was nice having the rooftop pool and bar to relax at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet was good for both Thai and Western food. We would stay here again.

We are a family of 3 travelling with a 4 yr old. Dang Derm was clean and comfy. It was noisy at night but I guess everywhere on the Khao San Road is. The staff were friendly but breakfast is not great. The pool is great but it does get busy.

Obviously, being located on one end of Khaosan Road, you can tell that it is a very busy and noisy hotel. However, our room was situated on the 3rd floor away from the noisy Khaosan road, so I did get some good night sleep - comfy bed, good shower. The problem was the check-in and the receptionist. Nowhere on booking.com... More

The staff were friendly & helpful on arrival. The hotel decor is modern & stylish with a Thai twist. Our room was clean & a nice size with a bed on a raised platform on the floor. The shower/ wet room provided free shower gel/ shampoo (which was great as we hadn't yet bought any toiletries!) free water bottle each... More

Stayed here for a night before moving onto other parts of Thailand, the room is fine and the pool area / breakfast is nice enough, nothing special but the stay was very cheap so can't complain too much. It is a little noisy but that is what you get for staying on Khoa San road!

In Khaosan road you have everything! Great atmosphere. Restaurants, shops, bars, massageparlors and so on. Highly recommended place to stay for travellers who seek a nightlife and to party all night in Bangkok. There's spacious rooms with comfy beds (matresses) on a wooden floor, tv, fridge and free wifi. You get some peace if your room is located in the... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
