The room was clean and comfortable and the WiFi was good. It is a bit difficult o find initially but the location is fantastic. Very peaceful and quiet. You can get to lots of places by water taxi which is fun.

Khao San road, Wat Pho and many other attractions are walkable from this place. The lady at the reception is really sweet and takes good care of the hotel. Rooms are clean. You do get daylight from the window but there is no good view. Perfect place for travellers who travel most of the time of day and need comfortable... More

My boyfriend and I were looking for a budget hotel in Bangkok. Sourire was our choice, as we saw information about the wonderful breakfasts, great location, car transfer to/from the airport (at additional cost), and the comfortable accommodations. They delivered on all of those items, but went above and beyond in one particular area. Unfortunately while I was in Bangkok,... More

Rooms a bit disappointing and toilet small. Lighting pretty poor. Why 5 star then? It's a cheap hotel in great location in Bangkok. Great breakfast. Quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Lift. Stress free airport pickup (though not cheap it was worth it). Good price beer Had we paid more we'd not give 5 but for the money it was... More

Nice location in the Old City, Bangkok. It's a quite place especially at night. We booked for 4D3N stay and our stay went smoothly. 3-5 minutes walk to the famous Khao San Road. Owner and staff of hotel are very friendly, they are always willing to help whenever you need one. If you're looking for a budget hotel near popular... More

The hotel has the important bases covered: it is safe, clean and has a friendly, kind and helpful staff. It also has its advantages: it is small, quiet and is suitable for the tourist who is not the partying type, also for families. It is close to a major road (and the Democracy Monument) so it is easily accessible and... More

Great place for our first trip to Bangkok!! We hit a home run here. The people were wonderful and the location perfect. Walking distance to the top 3 attractions in Bangkok. Walking distance to the canal boats too. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower worked great and so did the AC. Breakfast was good and the beer was cold. I... More

Stayed there for 3 nights, very nice receptionists. Good location, only few minutes walk from Kaosan rd. And city center. Had the double room with air conditioner and private bathroom. Serve great breakfast. All in all, had a very nice stay, very recommended.

A little hard to find as a secret garden should be but once you walked down the little alley to the entrance you find that there is someone who love plants and has made this special little space. They even constructed the building is such a way to spare a tree. The staff is friendly. The breakfast nice and the... More

Nice, helpful staff, clean and quiet place to stay in the middle of the town with rather low price. Thank you! Sopii hyvin reppureissaajalle. Sain jättää teltan yms. säilytykseen, kun kävimme saarilla.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighborhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
