If you're booking Padi Madi online, you can book Pink Guesthouse instead, it's exactly the same place and cheaper, but one floor higher up. Maybe the rooms aren't as nice, but if you're just going for location (right next to Thong Lor BTS) then save some money and book Pink. Wifi poor (4th floor though, if booking Padi Madi you're... Stayed here for 4 night in November. Great location, just a few minutes from the BTS station. Good connections to the city rail network and good connection to airport. Rooms was comfortable and I didn't notice any noise from the trains. I would definitely recommend a stay here when exploring Bangkok city.

This is an inexpensive hotel for a quick night. I arrived after midnight - and they waited for me. EXCELLENT on their part!! The room, well, it was basic. Clean sheets and towels, and basically, I was just going to sleep and shower. The bed was kind of hard, but I needed that after traveling for 24 hours. The wifi... More

I feel like that's all this hotel was. Meh. The location was great, right by thong lo bts. They don't tell you that the first set of rooms is up on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Be prepared for that! Also, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The rooms are tiny tiny! No the most friendly staff. It... More

Booked this place direct with owner and he gave me a good rate. For 5 nights, I paid less than one night in the 5 star Lebua ! Friendly welcome, Air Con, informative owner, and the location is fantastic, you save so much time and money having the sky train so near. We were able to access all the places... More

Great guesthouse, only stayed one night with a friend. It was nice and comfortable, and the staffs are very welcoming. The bathroom door is see through without any curtains. You can see the toilet and the shower through the closed door easily. It was a little bit awkward for me to use the toilet for sit-down business since i was... More

Location perfect for thong lo bts sky train If you just want a base then its a good cheap option The stairs are very dangerous no handrail on the first flight with a very slippery tile on the steps. Long narrow corridors bringing up a heavy suitcase to your room is an experience I stayed the one night only so... More

I ended up staying there for a month as it is a good location and I was travelling in and out Thailand for work. The guesthouse is overrated: rooms are nice and spacious but in front of the BTS, the building is claustrophobic, the staff is never there when you need and is very arrogant. I forgot a pair of... Extremely convenient, on the doorstep of the BTS station which gets you anywhere you could need to go in BKK. The room itself has everything you could need, except maybe a mini fridge would have been nice. Thought it was good that you have to request room cleaning rather than they come automatically. Reception staff really nice too. My only... More

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighborhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
