We dropped into Panee Lodge when searching for somewhere to stay in Bangkok that was close to Khaosan road. This place is literally on the corner of it, though it's surprisingly quiet at night. The rooms were a bit overpriced - we had 3 people staying in a twin room (plus an extra bed) so it was very cosy and... More

We walked into this lodge off khao San road when we didn't have anywhere to stay, the staff were very friendly, saw we were hot- got us a glass of orange juice, lift to the room upstairs, smallish room but comfy and free wifi. I think it was 1000 thb or £20 a night and they were relaxed about us... More

The room was nice with good WIFI, a large comfortable bed and functioning air con. You can do cheaper, but it does not mean better. The staff was nice and did not charge extra to keep our bags unlike some other places. I would not eat there, but restauants and stands abound around Khao San Road.

Me and my partner booked this place at the hotel, as it was the first place we saw as we got off the bus. After a long few days travelling from Cambodia so we just wanted to get somewhere quick rather than walking around! We were a little disappointed with the price but because we were staying one night we... More

I found this place after wanting some creature comforts and somewhere clean. I paid for the 1,000 baht room which got me a double bed, air con, hot water, cable TV, wifi and daily room cleaning. I found it to be a comfortable stay, staff were also helpful. Rooms are non smoking with a designated smoking area on each floor.... More

I stayed here for 2 days in. 2007. The staff were great the rooms were good and I was completely happy with the service. Came back here in 2013 the staff are useless... I paid for a deluxe room at $45 a night... Didn't even get housekeeping on first day. I booked through agoda and they had no idea of... More

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of my time in Thailand. It was by far the worst stay I've had in Thailand! The hotel rooms were way overpriced and they charged for everything. Wifi should be free these days not 40 baht an hour... especially with the prices for the room. Not very helpful staff either, it... More

The rooms look much worse than in the official pictures and are not super clean. It's very noisy in the night due to live music in the surrounding bars, thus it's hard to sleep. The service on the night shift was not really polite, but on the day shift they were super nice. The price was high, we stayed in... More

I spent two very lazy days here & walked away totally relaxed & refreshed. My room was a little small, but it had everything I needed & was very comfortable. I liked how they lit an oil burner in my room every evening so you'd return home to find a really nicely scented room. For its location in the Khao... More

This place at first glance seems great--it's clean and in a great location right off of Khao San Road and the price is reasonable (about $30 for a double). HOWEVER, the staff (specifically the main receptionist), was incredibly rude which is so out of the ordinary in Thailand. Also, the hotel charges a dollar per hour for the wifi (per... More
