It's located on soi 11 in sukhumvit near bed supperclub and the soi is really alive. The rooms were clean and huge!! The staff was friendly and polite. The pool was not big not small so average of size. It includes a bar, free towels and friendly staff. Restaurant serves a lot of western dishes and disapointingly not so much... More

The location of this hotel is great. Soi 11 is the place u want to be in Bangkok. From the big hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes to street little (food)markets, you can find it all. The staff was okay, they were friendly. The restaurant/bar was nice. Too bad that they didn't offer a lot of local food only a lot... More

On route to the hotel it looked it was in a bit of a run down area, however on arrival was quite surprised to see how good the hotel was and its locality. There was many bars and clubs around the area, a Good view of Bangkok as we had a room on the higher floor. Rooms were excellent and... More

Great Location Not far away from the Sky train which is cheap and a must to get around. The roads are so busy you will sit in traffic all times of the day. Stayed in the club level Nice breakfast in the club level room. Has a few convenience shops and bars...

It is a very good location for tourists. Rooms are big and well equipped. Metro stop is nearby. Service is good. It is good value for its category. There are many bars restaurants in the area within walking distance day or night.

Checked in one day early for a five night stay but was told by an unhelpful and surly duty manager that I would have to pay double if I wanted to stay an extra night. The young receptionists were arrogant and rude and had no idea how to deal with paying guests. I would have walked out if I had... More

It's a good property busy with choosy visitors. At least better than others at the same area I respect of professional front desk staffs, well maintained room, good value, spacious rooms, happy hours, speediest internet facilities, spacious room & more ....... At Sukhumvit Road, really excellent property with good value & service as well.

This place is in the heart of one of the main localities. The rooms are ok, not very well maintained.. Breakfast isn't included, you can pay extra 300 bhat for a single person if you require breakfast.. The hotel staff doesn't replace the towels and bottles themselves and nor do they give extra towels for the day

Had my doubts - read many other TripAdvisor Reviews as you should - kept and open mind - First Reactions were OH NO! - most reviews are correct, it is an old hotel, it is well worn, it does have mold in the bathroom around the basin, first morning lots of HOT water, hot and hotter no cold - challenging,... I have been in Bangkok numerous times, but this was the first time at President Palace hotel having booked 2 rooms for for me and the family. Check-in with only one counter of four opened went pretty fast. Rooms were ready as we arrived around 3 PM. All quick and smooth. Rooms OK, and also the restaurant and pool area.... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighborhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
