Plus sides: helpful and polite staff, good food, nice nightlife at the bar with pool table. Not too expensive Downsides:single rooms look like jail cells (go for the dorms at least they have ac) and a little far from most tourist attractions. Over all would recommend :))

The New Road Guest House is a clean hostel, with all necessary accommodations for a comfortable stay. I made a reservation for a bunk-bed, which they gave to someone else before my late arrival, but then they offered me a private room for the same price after a little haggling. This deal is fair, and shows that they do care... More

I stayed in the dorms here and it was pretty good. Actually, I had a 10 bed dorm room to myself somehow so it was pretty incredible until a bunch of loud backpackers came in at 9am to unload their bags and plan their trip. But still, the setup was pretty goood. No real complaints. I pry wouldn't stay here... More

This hotel is quiet but it is not visable from main street esp in midnight . It does not impress me since we arrived in midnight and even taxi driver have no idea where it is . Rooms is ok but not good value. And if you have big luggage then it might be difficut bcs of stairs.

We stayed at New Road in December 2013 for over three weeks (we were waiting for our motorbike to arrive in Bangkok port and it was constantly delayed), and started to think of the place as home. Fan rooms are great value, and were all very clean. The communal area downstairs is a great place to socialise, and we met... More

From the start they where very friendly and helpfull, they helped me to book my bus to koh tao and to move around bangkok. The rooms weren't the cleanest I saw, but acceptable. I celebrated the christmas with them, and in spite I was one of the only non danish it was a lovely night! The best part of the... More

I stayed in a dorm room for two nights; the rooms were clean and cooled by fans with bunk beds. It was nothing special, but far better than a lot of dorms I have stayed in. The staff are beyond helpful, giving directions, maps, ideas on what to do, places to visit, organising tours etc. If it is your first... More

first it seemed easier to find it as it was for me, until I understood what a "soi" is and then I had just to walk down the street from the sky train station. easy to find, if you coming out from exit 3 there and just follow the road down, cross mc donalds and starbucks on the way, cross... More

I stayed here for a few days and I left the hotel in a horrible spirit. First of all, I want to say that I am not a deep sleeper, so I can easily hear noises and what's going on outside. On 07 January, 2014 at 6am, I heard a really loud disturbing noise from downstairs, so I went down... More
