3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 NEW

Centrally located, this hotel is walking distance from Nana Metro station which is just around 3 stops from Siam. Unlike other streets in Sukhumvit which completely change character after 9 PM, Soi 8 is pretty calm and feels more upmarket. Also just a 10-15 min tuk tuk ride to Sukhumvit's most happening Soi's. Average breakfast, tiny rooms, reasonable kitchen.

Stayed 2 nights in May, good location , quiet area away from the hustle n bustle of Sukhumvit rd, 5 min walk there, or get hotels tuk tuk up n back (free). Wifi was poor , breakfast I had was terrible . Rooms clean staff friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2012 Key points: - Central location (close to the train station) - Based in a very 'touristy' area (surrounded by 'western' inspired bars and other hotels) - Within walking distance to the night market (a long stream of market stools selling loads of souvenirs, handbags, clothes, gadgets etc - Receptionist... Personally, I find the rooms too small for a family holiday which I was there for. The kitchen and toilet also smell damp. The floor also don't feel very clean. The bed room area felt claustrophobic to me. We took a one-bedroom apartment which I think costs more but is more clautrophobic than the studio because there are so many... More

I stayed here on a business trip...though my first preference would be Citadines 16. Overall its a good experience but as they say..."good" is the biggest enemy of "great" :-) The good things first - 1) very good location...it's tucked well inside the Soi so you would be away from the "road side din"...the complementary Tuk-tuk service is very good....drops... Rooms are not very big, but you have everything you need, even small kitchen and sofa. The location is good, the street is not noisy, but about 250 metres with free tuk-tuk service and you are in the heart Sukhumvit Road. I would also like to note the stuff. My girlfriend broke her perfume accidentally. Fragments of the bottle stayed... More

After staying in 2 excellent Citadines, I downgraded myself from Citadines #16 to the cheaper Citadines #8, the worst reviewed of the four in Bangkok, to see if there was much of a difference. Yes, there is. This one is packed, and is consequently noisy at all hours. Last night I was awakened at 3 am by a chap loudly... More

This is my third time in this Citadines hotel, it is a convenient one when travelling to Bangkok for business, the room is studio type with separate small living room and bedroom, ideal if you need to do some work while there, it has free wifi connection to internet and a high speed option but this is not included.
