Silver Gold Garden is way outside the main city of Bangkok but comparatively near the airport. It is what you can call a premium hostel rather than a hotel or a resort. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. The only problem in terms of room was the air conditioner. Given the fact that when we went, it was hot... More

The room was clean and nice enough, but they nickel and dime you a bit (extra charge for wifi and airport shuttle). The internet in the internet lounge was woefully poor. We were supposed to stay here a second night one week later after our first night but canceled it due to these inconveniences. that said, for one night if... More

The staff here were friendly, the hotel room was basic but clean. The location is the real issue- there's nothing to do and finding somewhere to eat (that isn't market street food) would have been impossible except the hotel has a restaurant (which again, was pretty average). You are nowhere near Bangkok itself, but for the airport this is perfect,... More

Clean hotel in a boring part of the city.Going into the city involves a taxi ride to the airport and then the train into the city.Rooms were clean, but unserviced while I stayed.Staff give the impression they don't like foreigners very much.If you are new to Bangkok you wont get much helpful advice from them, and nothing in the hotel in the... The hotel is close to the airport and average value. The staff are not too friendly but the room was ok. It is far from downtown Bangkok but near market nearby. The airport transfers were convenient and on time. I would only recommend if you want to be near to the airport.

Stayed here at beginning of 3 month Thai trip. Was ok, did what it said on the website - transfer from/to airport functioned well, breakfast was decent, room was ok (but rather small and dated), shower was warm, TV had a few English language channels. All in all it wasn't a bad hotel, it's just that we encountered much better... More

I booked the hotel, because it is close to the airport. They do a shuttle. Room was nice and service is good. Only breakfast is a night mare. The lady definetly does not like here job! If you want to discover a real asian market - that is the place. Market is actually round the hotel. Some nice local restauarants... More

We are 4 Frech seniors and stopped there every time we had to spend a night in Bangkok during a 2 month trip in Asia. The rooms were very big , comfortable; clean and quiet .The free shuttle was easy to get at the airport, and take us back very cheaply the next day.At he back one can have a decent... As most reviews indicate, this hotel is conveniently located near the airport and is of great value. While it's true that the hotel is far from downtown Bangkok and there's not much to explore nearby, I was pleasantly surprised with this location. It's a nice break from the crazy traffic and loud sounds you'll notice around downtown Bangkok. You really... More
