Location - yes and no. Close to skytrain and night life but on an odd little alleyway. Rooms - yes and no. Stayed in two different rooms - liked the Moroccan much better than the Victorian (same room - different decor). The decorating is a nice attempt but seems a little DIY amateurish and it doesn't quite seem finished (please... more

I would tend to agree with some prior reviews indicating that Baan Saladaeng is not the super nice boutique style hotel you see in the website. Although many websites give a much nicer impression of an establishment than it actually is, I did expect the rooms to be a lot nicer than they were. I've stayed there a few times... more

This is my third stay at BS over three years... The location is fantastic if you're looking for a 'Bangkok Nightlife Experience'. You will be only 5 mins walk from everything. If you're not looking for that - look elsewhere! Or get a Tuk Tuk! The first time I stayed here it was good, nothing has changed except it's aged... more

I was recommended this establishment. It was so easy to get to. Right in the heart of the city centre. The MRT train station Silom was round the corner and the sky train station Saladeng. Lots of street food, opposite a nice Thai restaurant, seven eleven shops, shopping centre in walking distance, very safe and well lit area. The night... more

Due to the hotel being heavily booked my husband and I stayed in three different rooms during our four night stay - the Black and White room, the Urban Resort and the Modern Oriental. The Urban Resort was my favourite of the rooms, though it was a long and steep climb to the top (good workout though!) It was spacious,... more

Its more of a kao san guesthouse then a hotel or b&b. Its massive overpriced, you can get a nice hotel in the same area for this price. Very noisy all night long, not very clean and the breakfast is a joke. The good thing: location. 5 min from Skytrain, Subway and Silom. Staff is also very friendly. more

I stayed here in Oct 2008 for three day. The hotel is very cute and quaint. The rooms are MASSIVE if you get the suites. Jerry and Nutt were just as great! Very helpful and with a touch of funny sarcasm.. Any messages are hand written and given to you as you enter the hotel Hotel maid and upkeep is... more

Bangkok - Absolutely fabulous place to stay! Safe for female travelers, traveling alone. Can walk everywhere from here. (If it's a concern the red light area is on a different soi.) This soi is quiet and well lit up at night. Close to night market, street food and BTS.) I booked the White Room but when I arrived I had... more

Going back again this month... and will be staying there again:) looking forward to a wonderful stay... its so near to silom mrt and saladaeng bts... so no problem with transportation. more

This place is great .. As a single male traveller's first visit to Bangkok .. this place perfectly fit the bill - good location close to the Saladaeng BTS, safe, clean, cosy room, friendly staff and most importantly close to the night entertainment areas. I booked the modern oriental room at Baan Saladaeng through the hotel website after browsing through almost... more
