I actually stayed at this hostel in May 2009, but because I had such a great experience, I wanted to share this hidden gem with other travelers. This hostel is walking distance from a train station, although slightly hidden. This hostel definitely feels more like home than a hostel. The rooms were clean. You share the bathroom with other guests.... More

I stayed at the Hostel in early Jan 2009 with my son. He and I were very welcome there. It is SO near all things that make for this type of traveling perfect. Shawn is the owner and is always on hand with a great recomendation to see and how to get there. It's really laid back and has alot... More

Came's Oasis is a comfortable and relaxing place, everyone is relatively mellow and calm. The owner Shawn is friendly and will give you recommendations on where to go in Taipei. Clean and homey, feels like you are staying at your friend's apartment. There is free internet and laundry service. It's right by the MRT so you can hop on the... More

Clean and comfortable. I stayed for one night in the double room and had no problems at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is only one bathroom, but the hostel is small and they kept it clean. There is a common room with DVDs and comfy places to sit, plus a computer with Internet. The kitchen is available... More

This is a small, cozy hostel right near Taipei's MRT (subway). Shida Night Market is within walking distance. I think it's one of the best priced hostels in Taipei and the quality is excellent.

Stayed at Camel's Oasis hostel for a night in April 08 and its my first hostel stay ever. It's a reasonable stay, the price is good. But for first timers, please be prepared as you have to share toilets and honestly, its more like a homestay than anything. There's clean sheets for you, a living room with a huge LCD... More

I've stayed in hostels all over Europe, and checked out a few hostels in Taipei, but was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon Camels' Oasis. I thought the pictures looked too good to be true, so I went to check it out. The pictures on the website don't lie, they just don't do the place justice. It is brand new,... More
