And the details are as follows: - rooms are stinky. Cigarette smell everywhere. Some rooms stinks less than others - carpets and furniture pretends to be stylish and luxury but mostly are shabby and even worn. "Faded finery" (c) Charles Dickens - overall impression of a red light district hotel Positive: - rooms are REALLY big - staff is very... More

Lotty hotel has great staff. They remembered our faces and room numbers by day 2, gave us extra water at the reception, provided iron and board when requested and extra towels. Excellent service. The rooms have a nice charm but my friends commented it's not for everyone. Some said it had a bit of a kinky feel! It was a... More

Stay in Lotty hotel for 5 nights for Nov 2014. Excellent hotel. The staff are friendly and always attentive to your needs. I asked for places that sell toys for kids, and they took the effort to help search and even noted down the location in a piece of paper and deliver it to the room. Although there is no... More

Stayed here on the 31st of May till 1st of June..We booked 5 rooms. All 5 rooms were uniquely design and different from each other. Each room had a working and clean jacuzzi. Enjoyed it with my husband and children. However the rooms were a bit worn out. wallpapers were peeling.Nevertheless, it was clean. I think this hotel is more... More

Pros: - location is very good and only requires about a 5 min walk to the nearest MRT station - staff was very friendly and spoke English well enough to be helpful - breakfast was excellent given that it was free. The dining area was cozy and served a mix of western and traditional Taiwanese breakfast. I really enjoyed the... More

We booked the standard room for three nights to explore Taipei. Unfortunately upon entering the room my boyfriend (being 6ft 1in) discovered that the ceiling was only an inch or two taller than him and it was even worse in the bathroom where he had to crouch down to avoid hitting his head. We asked the reception if we could... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Taipei Lotty Hotel for 2 nights over the Chinese New Year period. In advance of arrival the hotel were great at responding to our email questions and arranged an airport pickup as we were arriving from Hong Kong at 2am. Therefore when we arrived we were not suprised to find that the... More

I absolutely loved this little hotel. It was perfect for somebody that wants no-frills, low cost, and easy access to the city. It's very close to the subway and the staff was incredibly helpful when asked for advice on where to go. The furnishings were nice and the room was fairly big. I had no problems with this hotel at... I would not trust the previous reviews. The Lotty is not for families or for normal tourist. If you want to get drunk and smoke, not caring much about your surrounding this is the place for you. Yes the price is cheap, but reaps of cigarette smoke and deodorizer smells. The carpet is dirty and the place it quite old... More

Stayed primarily because of previous reviews. Its near the subway (5 minutes walk) and is based in a very local area that seemed popular in the past - as there are older hotels nearby. The deluxe room had a nice bath (albeit hard to access) but seemed to be designed by someone who was not necessarily in the industry. The... More
