I booked this hotel after reading the reviews and the hotel exceeded my expectations. Even before our stay, I kept on emailing them asking for information and Joanne was very helpful and prompt in replying. We were allowed to check in right away even before the standard time of 3PM, with no hassle at all, and though we booked for... More

I booked this hotel after reading some of the reviews on this site. The first night I stayed at the hotel I thought I had regretted my choice as it seemed the room wasn't quite as clean as the previous hotel we stayed at (and the previous hotel as a lot cheaper). My Mum and I also saw about 3... More

Two weeks after my stay at the Dong Wu it is hard to even remember how my room looked like. In many ways the hotel is extremely bland but that's also its biggest quality. The Dong Wu is in fact extremely functional, clean and a more budget-friendly alternative than many of its peers. Location is good: near a night market... More

I booked this hotel for my first trip to Taipei. It's a gem tucked away on the otherwise busy street. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the basement is wonderful with some Taiwan delicacies. If you want a peaceful and inexpensive stay in Taipei, I strongly recommend this hotel.... More

The room is big and clean, although it's quit old and very traditional. One thing that you should remind is no elevator to hotel cafe which serve breakfast, you have to use stairs. Location is not far from MRT yellow line which take just 5 minute by walk and there is Family mart next door. In morning, you can enjoy... More

The cost-benefit analysis of this hotel leans favorably towards the benefits. It is centrally located, close to a metro station, and there are surrounding night markets within walking distance. The staff are very helpful, the amenities plentiful, and the rooms are clean. The daily breakfast a good way to start the day. The taxi fare from Taoyuan airport to this... More

All i wanted was a very clean room and hotel. but it was really surprised me with lots of bonuses. I totally did not expected it to be a big room (for me it seemed so for i used to see small hotel rooms here in Singapore even on a 4-5 star ranges). Clean with lots of extras and extras... More

Had a three night stay in an "economic SGL" room. Room was of good size, clean, nice bathroom, and good value for money. Room was surprisingly quiet considering it was across from the elevators. Two small windows allowed natural light in. I stayed in seven hotels with similar prices during a short trip to Taiwan and this was one of... More

Dong Wu Hotel provides great customer and service, helping out with transportation, directions, etc. The breakfast is pretty good, although mostly Taiwanese dishes, but did have eggs, toast and some fruit otherwise. The location is pretty good, but not the best. You are about a 30+ min walk/metro combo to the major sites (Ex: Taipei 101, Da'An, Shillin). The room... More
