We stayed 4 nights in June 2014. The hotel's location is very convenient...a 5 to 10-minute walk to the nearest MRT plus lots of good places to eat around the area. There are a couple of convenience stores near the hotel. Lots of taxi cabs, too. But I suggest taking the train since it's convenient and walking isn't a problem... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Dong Wu hotel for 6 nights in july 2014. We chose this hotel based on customer reviews, but we honestly got a bit disappointed. The location is okay, about 5-10 minutes to the MRT, but there's not that much to do in the neighborhood. The staff is very helpful and will do their best... More

It was my second time at this hotel, this time staying for 6 nights in a Business Room on the 6th floor. I contacted the hotel via E-mail to inquire room availability and could also make the reservation this way. Since I had stayed in this hotel before, I did not even have to state my credit card number for... More

Its located in quiet part of town but within walking distance (2 min slow walk) to MRT. Price is reasonable and it is clean. Lobby and safe staff very well mannered (same can be said about all Taiwan's hospitality workers). Spoke reasonably good english. Very safe to stay there.

Travel to Taiwan the last Five years, after arriving from a 15 hour flight this a great hotel to spend the night. The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good. The location is near the subway and the main train station.

Do not judge this hotel from the outside, it obviously has to maintain the historical look which is a bit daunting when you arrive at 1.00am. Once inside it has everything you need and more. The staff were very helpful and friendly, also their English was good. The room was spotlessly clean with all the accessories and more. The location... More

This is a standard hotel - nothing amazing but not terrible. It was clean, quiet and more than sufficed for what we needed. For the price in Taipei, I think it was a good deal. It was kind of dingy but nothing that was overly gross or anything. Just your standard crash hotel for a night in Taipei.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience for the multiple weeks that I've stayed here. I came for the first time in May 2013 and stayed for an entire week. These people aim to make you a repeat customer. It's now May 2014 and I could have tried any other hotel in Taipei, but these people are wonderful characters and they... More

Upon entering the hotel one will see its classic decor of chinese wooden sculptures and beautiful orchids. Reception staff are efficient and are patient in explaining directions to places of interest. You may not know that there is actually a market nearby about 5 mins walk from the hotel. However, please note that certain stalls only operate on certain days.... More

Room was nice, big and clean. Staff was friendly, breakfast ok also for westerners. For us it was a bit far from the center, however close to the metro station. The night market seemed to be only for chinese tourists, but fine to go there if you are ok with limited communication.
