We stayed for 6 nights at the Rich Garden hotel. I had not stayed at another Taipei-hotel so I cannot compare, but we were overall were pleasantly surprised. Staff: Very polite and helpful. Room: As requested, they had given us a quiet room; the room itself was quite small but it was very clean. Bathroom was comfortable too (toiletries consisted... More

Staff were really good - friendly, welcoming, helpful, knowledgable, and my lack of language skills was no problem. As others have said, breakfast was very good, decent mix of local and western options. Other facilities were fine (although I wasn't there long enough to try out the gym). The only criticism of the hotel itself (and the reason I didn't... More

Stayed a total of 5 nights at this hotel. Location: just slightly over 7 min walk from Ximen station Exit 3. Excellent for shopping and going back for a bit of siesta before coming out for more shopping/eating. Hotel amenities/service: Staff are extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast is provided and it is really awesome. First thing I think of upon... More

Once you enter the hotel lobby, you will instantly feel that the hotel is time warped in the eighties. The decor has obviously not been updated. When you enter the hotel room, take a good look at the carpets, which are badly stained. Even the wallpapers are full of scratches from luggage bags brushing against them because there is hardly... Very friendly and obliging staff. Clean rooms and bathroom except for a carpet that needed cleaning. The chairs in the hotel room were oriental design, and still had heavy plastic covers on the seat cushions. Free Wi-Fi and the room and in the lobby. Although I had a room facing the main street, the street noise was not bad. Breakfast... More

Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice details on the room furnishings. Breakfast spread was great! Toilet was choked but staff attended to it quickly. Location is ideal as it is not directly beside the busy xinmending area but not too far too with a 10 mins walk.

Stayed in Rich Garden Hotel for my last 2 Nights in Taipei, and it was the most comfortable stay of my 7 nights there. I dont know what blanket they use, but it's the best I've ever used in my entire life! It's thick and yet soft. Would buy it if I could! Location wise, it is a short 10minutes... More

My husband and I just spent a few days in this hotel to visit Taipei. This hotel is really well located. It's closed from Ximen station and only one station from Taipei Main Station. SO you can easily enjoy Ximen area (some bars at The Red house, and the night market). It's quiet useful from the airport (you can take... More

This Hotel is close to (walking distance by aged couple) bus, MTR station, Markets, and a large convenience store just a block away. Staff were very friendly and could speak English our room was comfortable and clean on the down side if you could call it that the breakfast was Asian orientated there was plenty of it and we enjoyed... Overall a great hotel in a perfect location. There isn’t a ton of information on Taipei for us westerners, so I was a little nervous about where to stay in the city. We stayed at the Rich Garden Hotel as part of a tour and could not have been happier with it. It’s about a 2 block walk to the... More
