The new world hotel in Ximending district is the right place to hit Taipei. The hotel is small and the lobby just has minimum space for some pieces of luggage to place while tourists like me are waiting to check in or roaming the streets being too early to check in.The front offfice staff are great, very eager to serve and please... Checked out this hotel location before booking - location to XiMenDing MRT is wonderful - just 5 minutes walk. Surrounding by convenience store, eatery stores, and there is even a Birkenstock store nearby. However, sign for MRT station is not obvious and will have to figure out directions with a map or a hotel staff. Stayed for 4 nights. Upon... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It is right in the heart of all of the touristy stuff in Taipei and close to lots of places to eat. The eighth floor room we had was very small and damp. The room was under an eave and felt very cramped. The windows were covered in permanent condensation... More

It also has plenty of the shower was very happy. As well as those of the glass to take a bath? I agree with that, it is difficult to use and you were in... More

Stayed there on 11 to 15 May with spouse and daughter (triple sharing room) You can forget about the breakfast, tried on the first day and thereafter, no more breakfast at the hotel for us. My other gripe was the short flight of stairs up towards the lobby . It almost gave me a hernia tugging the shopping laden lugguages... More

Great experience. Was apprehensive before going as the online reviews were not that good... however the actual experienced proved otherwise. Clean & Comfortable... Daily change of towels. Standing shower which is great as I don't like bathtubs... Minus point is there is no shower curtain. All the necessary stuff - hairdryer/TV/safe/fridge etc are provided and working fine. In the lobby,... More

My family and I stayed there December 2006. We stayed 1 night and promptly left the next morning. The whole place looked like a whorehouse. Smelly, mouldy... my daughter got bitten by bugs on the bed. The bathroom was dirty, with broken shower curtain... Really one of the worst hotel I have been in. I came back and complained to...
