We were booked into this hotel by our travel agent because other hotels were fully booked on 31st Dec. I was so disappointing (honestly frustrated) with our stay esp. it's not cheap at all. The worst thing was service: The staff in the front desk were not attending at all - sometimes even unpleasant. And there were a couple of... More

We booked the family room for 5 days and paid about SGD 285 per night for it. For the first night, they gave us the wrong room as the one we booked should have a bathtub. We were unable to change it until the next day which was very troublesome. Apparently, their system isn't very efficient. The receptionists were unpleasant... More

We were a family of 5 (2 adults/3 kids) traveling from the States. The lobby is small and there is no concierge or sitting area and it smelled of incense. The receptionists all spoke good English and were pleasant and competent, but don't expect anyone to bend over backwards to please as they are busy doing both job of receptionist... More

I love this hotel for its low prices and large guest rooms. The furnishing in the room is nothing to write home about but functional. The lobby is very small without any sofa for meeting. There is free wifi throughout the building. There is no restaurant inside the hotel except a small area on the upper floor that serves free... More

We booked at Hondo Hotel from June 16-28th. Our stay was amazing. The hotel receptionists were very helpful and knew basic english. If I wanted to go somewhere I would write them the name of the place in english, they would look it up and write it in Chineses so all I had to do was show the note to... More

We came for a long weekend to enter the Hualien/Taichung AMD race, and because the way the flights worked out, we ended up checking in at 11pm on a Thursday night, and checking out at 4:45am on a Monday. The staff at the counter was very accommodating and always had a smile on his face. He even managed to book... More

We had a bit of 'hiccup' with the preparation of the room and the staff looked a bit surprised when we checked in, was a bit worried whether we had the reservations. Depending on which corner of the building you stay, you may end up with a room smaller than what is usually shown in the hotel photos. My parents'... More

I stayed at Hondo Hotel for a week in March 2012, and was very happy with the experience. It was a family vacation, and we had two rooms (next to each other but not connected) on the 6th floor. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were large, and showers were hot. Did not watch much TV (we... More

Our 1st room was located on the 6th floor but we had to move to the 8th floor since there was an issue with the wireless internet on the 6th floor. The room on the 8th floor was nicely decorated, spacious, 42" flat screen TV (cable channels in english, CNN, HBO, Cinemax, National Geographic, Discovery, TLC, etc...) and the wireless... More

Spent 9 Nights on a Business trip, Felt comfortable as it was easily accessible by road and nearer to Taipei Arena and Good shopping complexes around... its location is quite centrally located and well connected to the highway, not much of traffic hassles.
