If you're looking for an affordable, convenient hotel within walking distance of Taipei Main Station, this is your place. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton, but it has a clean (albeit small) room, decent bathroom, and friendly service. The Taiwanese-style continental breakfast doesn't offer any western fare besides toast, coffee, and tea. It's right around the corner from department stores and... More

Good location, near Taipei Main Station and Ximending, both about ten minutes by walking, making it convenient for shopping, eating and touring. Staff were courteous. Value for money due to the good location

Staff is courteous. Basic room and dated decor. Wifi was very good in lobby/dining room area, wifi in our room was not as consistent. Tasty Taiwanese breakfast (Congee with all kinds of marinated tofu, daikon and bamboo shoots, also fried eggs) included. Lots of great eateries around, very close to transit, 5 min walk to subway and 7 min walk... More

The area around Chair Man Hotel is what makes it a great place to stay. There are lots of fascinating streets and little alleyways to get lost in and the hotel has all the basics. But it is a bit tired and the breakfast is basic. Fine for a budget traveller; not a place to come if you are looking... More

The hotel is very well situated between the subway station Ximen and the Main subway station. The hotel is clean , the staff is very friendly and professional, the breakfast is good but has only chinese food and toasts with peanut butter. The rooms are small. The beds are a bit hard. The walls between the rooms must be very thin... More

around 10 mins walk from taipei main station. Personalize service, receptionists can remember my name, when I change my room and when I check out. Many 711 around the hotel. Hotel is old but clean. noise isolation is bad, can hear noise from next door.

Location - ★★★★★ 5min walk from Taipei station, meaning easy to go anywhere. Plus there's a 7/11 store right next to this hotel. Room - ★★★☆☆ Clean and not that small room for two (i was staying in a twin room) with a hot shower and hard bed. Quite old tho. Breakfast - ★★☆☆☆ There were 6 - 8 choices... More

This hotel would be a choice for budget travelers who need to stay in the city. As it is located in Han Kou Street, which is also the famous "Camera street" where many camera and audio system stores locates. The hotel is just 3-minute walk to Ximen Ding and Taipei Main Station respectively, so super convenient. I stayed in a... More

location of the hotel is great and within 10 mins walk toTaipei main station. The decoration and facilities are quite dated. Room and bathroom are of fair size. Breakfast is very basic with bread and congee but you would not expect much with such low room rate. One big problem is noise. The walls are thin and you can hear... More
