Although we tried to adjust the thermometer, it was still cold in our room. We asked for extra blankets and were told that they ran out. Apparently other guests were also cold. Instead, they brought us a small space heater. I don't know how many space heaters they have available so if you check in to this hotel in the... More

I booked this hotel via my usual booking website and I was told on arrival that the rate I paid "was for Japanese and Taiwanese only". Without such a passport I had to pay something like 25% more. I explained that this was a very racist policy which would not be allowed in any other civilized country. Told them also... More

We've stayed for a week and it has been our first time. It has never occurred to me finding good hotel at reasonable price would be a problem in Taipei. Our colleague from the Taipei office has suggested we stay at San Want. Location is great. There are lots of wonderful restaurants, convenience shops like 7eleven, Starbucks and other coffee... More

What is you plan when you go to Taipei? Shopping!!! The Eastern District nearby with all kind of fashion pick there can help. Eating!!! Famous restaurants around with the choice of Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, Western, whatever you want to pick is there. Site seeing!!! Not much around, but just a minute reaching the subway system at Taipei, with very small... More

Trying to find a room for $200 US a night was a challenge in Taipei. Coworker recommended the San Want, so I took her advice and hoped for the best. In a very busy part of town, with MRT station nearly directly in front of the entrance. You enter from the bottom level, but reception is on the 4th floor.... More

This is my second stay here, it's seems to be our go to hotel at our company. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the city. You don't have to walk far at all for restaurants, shops or some sightseeing. I walked to Taipei 101, which was only about 10 minutes away. The hotel itself is looking a... More

The hotel itself can use some remodeling, For some unknown reason, the front desk is on the 4th floor and 1st floor is where you leave your stuffs so that they can take them to your room once you have check in. Don't see this type of arrangement very often. Breakfast buffet is included. Selection is limited so don't expect... More

Stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. Arrived on a red eye but check in was seamless at the 4th floor. Hotel decor seemed tired and probably needs a major renovation, although I saw a sign in the elevator saying to check out personal art collection throughout the hotel. Wifi was spotty at times. Nice touch like welcome fruit... More

San Want is well situated in a prime tourist area of Taipei. The hotel is situated right above the Zhongxiao Dunghua Road station MRT station and within walking distance to three different shopping malls, various international retailers (Zara, MANGO etc), Sun Yat- Sen Memorial and known- local eateries. So i would say 4 stars for the location. Accommodation wise, the... More

The experience really depends on the room you get here. Our family had 4 rooms, 2 with twin beds in the old wing, and 2 with king beds in the new wing. Unfortunately, the hotel was full so we could not all be on the same floor or get the better rooms. Our room with the twin beds was adequate... More
