The Hotel has a great location.. department stores around the area, restaurants and even MRT stations. It's pretty convenient for tourist seeking for local adventures! The rooms are clean and the service is good.

Stayed here for 10 nights during our trip in Taiwan. Great location as it's close to many shops and restaurants. Subway station is practically right outside the front door. The staff is great and they were very courteous and helpful. Free water and free working wifi are the other perks. On the other hand, the hotel badly needs an renovation.... More

Very good hotel with decent rooms and suites. We were a family group of 7, in double and quad rooms. Everything was clean and functional, if nothing special or extravagant. Beds were comfy and service was good. You can't beat the location, practically on top of the Zhongxiao Dunhua station, with tons of shopping and eating options within walking distance.... More

The hotel is located in a busy district where shops and restaurants are all around, and a subway MTR station just right outside the hotel. My room is a single room with a comfortable large-size bed, the room is rather small, and it has a window but no outside view, however it's very clean and comfortable. They provide 2 bottles... The San Want Hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of Taipei's main Zhong Xiao East Road. The MRT exit is just outside its main door. The hotel lobby is located in the 4th floor and they have helpful concierge and bell service to bring your bags to your room. We got a triple room and it is not... More

San Want Hotel probably has one of the best locations for hotels in Taipei. It has a MRT entrance on its doorstep and it located in the heart of the shopping/commercial district in Taipei. It's convenient to get to any place from the hotel. However, the hotel is somewhat aged and it needs some renovation, especially in its rooms. The... More

Spent 3 nights here as a tourist. Food was all that you could want. Location was perfect, right next to the metro so able to get anywhere with ease. Spouse became ill and had to seek medical attention. Told the desk and the hotel employee, Joe Lee, accompanied us to the emergency room and made everything work flawlessly. She was... More

Nice location, with many eateries and shopping outlets nearby. Hotel setting is comfortable. Easy access to most tourist destinations around the city through the MRT network, which is a mere 5 minutes walk to the nearest station. Room pricing is a bit stiff but it's value for money.

The good: Great location, close to MRT station, underground shopping center, SOGO department stores within walking distance. There are just shops everywhere close by. Little ally ways of shops as well. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bell boys (men) opened car doors, doors, take your luggage, greet and farewell all that comes and goes. One even... December 2015: Very conveniently located in downtown shopping Taipei. Close to 2 MRT stations. Rates are acceptable given the position of the hotel. Well appointed with complimentary fruit and water on arrival. Reception is welcoming and friendly. Most people are either able to speak/understand english or at least courteously understand what guests would like. Surrounded by Taipei's street food and... More
