Folks, i think the largely favorable reviews has been quite misleading, at least for us. I pretty much got a slap in the face from my initial expectations There's... - smoke smell in room - internet is only accessible from the lobby's Wifi signal. There is no internet plug at all in the room! and I already stayed in the... more

I stayed in the OLD WING of the hotel. I am not sure of the new wing, but my room in the old wing was terrible. The room was not clean, it was cramp, and did not feel good at all. There air vent in the ceiling looked horrifyingly dirty, and there was some kind of grid next to it... more

Very affordable room rates, with gym facilities at the basement. Breakfast buffet could be better, but food is everywhere around the vicinity, so there is no reason to be starving. The room is well furnished with a bathtub, the only problem is the problem of mosquitoes appearing in the room out of outwhere. Overall, it is a really great place... more

Just came back from Taiwan. Stayed at Paradise Hotel for all up 7 nights. The people were nice. Not all over you, but were all very helpful. We were put into windowless rooms on 2 occasions (we checked-in 3 times as we were moving around) and every time we went back to them asking for a change of room to... more

Value for money hotel. During our stay the hotel was quite empty and so they gave us a large room (they claimed it was second only to the presidential suite) . Reception staff are friendly and accomodating. more

We were in Taipei for a 4-day shopping trip. As it was the holiday season, the more popular Rainbow Hotel was fully booked. However, we managed to secure the booking with Paradise Hotel at the eleventh hour. Conveniently located at the Ximending Shopping area (8 mins away from the Metro Train Station and just 2 mins walk away from the... more

My 2 friends and I booked our 3day/2 night trip to Taipei through H.I.S. We didn't have any choice in our hotel, and as soon as we heard we were to stay at the Paradise Hotel, our first thoughts were "sounds like a love hotel"!? We looked up reviews on TA and found them to be mixed, we were especially... more

This is the worst hotel I have ever ever stayed at...considering that I have been to europe, asia, north america etc etc The rooms are small, toilet very unclean, the whole room smells weird. The corridor was NOT well-lit and therefore always gives off a creepy feeling. The corridor feels very chill.... Overall this hotel gives me the creeps...I will... more

The hotel is really very old. When I first entered the room, there was a stench which is unbearable to me. The toilet is very simple (of very old designs) and the tiles in the toilet is yellowish and sticky on feet. The bath tub looks too old and I do not dare to use the bath, and only shower.... more
