Close from subway station (about 3minutes by walk) little bit far from taipei 101 building. I recommend W or Hyatt for young people. Also I felt like this hotel was focused on Japanese tourists. (If you are look like Asian, they will welcome you with Japanese language first) Staffs are very kind and door girl guided me to my room... More

We checked in at 1400, only to be told our room wouldn't be ready for another hour - an unusually late check in time - so we said we'd have lunch. "Ah, the restaurant stops serving at 1400, you can get bar food", so we went to the bar, where we ordered hamburgers medium rare and were told you can... More

We had high expectations for this hotel due to good online reviews but couldn't help noticing a series of, albeit minor, service inconsistencies. Overall the staff have been professional and courteous, and the room was luxurious but somehow i just can't convince myself to make a repeat visit. For the price range, we hoped for something extra in terms of... More

Great location, easy going for shopping and dining around. the rate was not that expensive but we were served with 5 star standard service. Efficient and friendly service at the hotel reception, comfortable room and facilities. The fact I will recommend that Okura Prestige is the most value-for-money hotel in Taipei.

We had a great time inTaipei and the Okura was in a good spot for sightseeing, has giant, very clean rooms and good staff. I would say the breakfast is very Asian so not my favourite, but still good quality. Welcome drink on first day and good spa - massages are good, but for westerns remember the sauna and jacuzzi... Ever ready to tend to your every need and request - promptly and always with a warm smile! In the rooms, the bath and vanity area comes separately from the toilet. Taipei is not generally known for great hotels. Many of it's properties are older and have seen better days, but in the past few years this has completely changed. We stayed a week at the Japanese-owned Okura in March, and were thoroughly satisfied. Unlike many Asian hotels, this was built in a purpose built building 20 stories tall which only... More

I booked this hotel for my parents during their visit to taipei. Pros: very clean rooms and very friendly staff. Cons: Billing issues / no response from hotel AT ALL!! On march 28, at the time of check out, we were told by the front desk staff that we had to pay for the night of march 24/25 (we prepaid... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2015

My stay was greeted with complimentary sweet in the room - a small box of nougat. The nougat was unexpectedly tasty, but not enough as all were finished within a minute. The solution was to go down to lobby cake shop and buy some more. There are boxes of 16, 32, and 64 pieces. My recommendation is to get the... More
