I have always stayed at the another hotel (a boutique hotel) but tried Okura Prestige Taipei this time based on my driver's recommendation. I was worried that I would be greeted by unsmiling and robotic faces. Was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and polite porters and concierge staff. The porters are helpful, efficient and friendly and will deliver what you... More

I stayed 8 nights following a wedding that I was attending in the actual hotel. During my stay the staff displayed the best of Japanese style service. The staff were very helpful and polite. Location was great with metro stop only a couple of minutes from the hotel and plenty of restaurants and shops including 8 story shopping mall just... More

This was a very good holiday experience for us, Everything was spacious and luxurious. The room had a huge window down to the floor. The rooftop swimming pool was just a dream as was the onsen facility. We also stayed at the Sheraton and can only recommend to go for the Okura.

Quite possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! The rooms are Japanese style with sliding doors that separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Remote-controlled lights, curtains, and drapes are a nice touch, especially if you have a room with a balcony. I don't want to go into all the details and spoil the surprise, but I will say that... Excellent, one of the best hotels I stayed at. Superb service, clean, modern, stylish decor. |Try to get the room on upper floors, I had a great city views, including Taipei 101. Very nice spa area. Great views from the pool. Very convenient location. I would highly recommend this hotel.

PRO : Service, room, and location Imagine this.....I was taking my new boss to Taipei and the day that we checked-in....it was a Chinese Valentine's day! I called to many restaurants and they were fully booked! Fortunately, a front desk staff name Ms.Rita was very helpful and she managed to find a good Taiwanese style restaurant near the hotel. One... Okura is my most favorite hotel in Taipei. Love the service, the cleanliness of the rooms. Rooms are very spacious, and beds are comfy The buffet breakfast is excellent. Very good value for money. Location not as convenient as W, but there are a lot of places to go to around the neighbor. And perhaps it is located in "older... More

While the hotel prides itself as a five star hotel with Japanese style attention to details, we find our recent stay at Okura a somewhat mixed experience, perhaps due to the high expectations we have for the brand and the overwhelmingly positive reviews the hotel's been getting on Tripadvisor. The good: the hotel is well located within close walking distance... More

Nothing to complain about at all! The room is a good size, plenty of closet space, separate toilet with sink from the shower/tub and sink. All lights and drapes are controlled by a control panel on either side of the bed - very easy to use. Clean and comfortable beds. The attentive bellhops and concierges are all crisp, friendly, and... Situated in the city centre where you can find lots of delicious japanese food restuarants nearby. The room was reasonably spacious though the view from the lower floor zone was not that nice. My stay at Okura couldn't be better with a TV in the bathroom and the Japanese style loo (with auto-cleasing!!). It's well deserved for its price. I... More
